    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Summary:</span></p>\n<p>The Equipment &amp; Yard Manager is responsible for the management, maintenance, allocation, and control of all company-owned tools, equipment, inventory, safety equipment and yard/shop facilities. This role ensures field teams have the right equipment, at the right time, in safe working condition — while controlling costs and reducing downtime. This position supports Superintendents and Project Managers but retains centralized authority over equipment, yard fleet, and yard operations. </p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<br><br></span></p>\n<p>Equipment &amp; Tool Management </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Own all company equipment, tools, and temporary facilities </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Track location, condition, and assignment of all assets </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate equipment mobilization and demobilization for projects </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage repairs, maintenance schedules, and inspections </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Decide repair vs replace recommendations </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain standardized equipment lists by project type </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Yard / Shop Operations </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage yard layout, cleanliness, and security </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain organized tool crib and inventory system </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee small equipment storage and calibration </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate with vendors for repairs and specialty services </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervise yard staff or shop technicians (if applicable) </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Project &amp; Field Support </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Respond to Superintendent equipment requests </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate temporary facilities (trailers, fencing) </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Support site logistics during mobilization phases </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Troubleshoot equipment issues impacting schedules </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure timely availability of critical tools and gear </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Cost Control &amp; Reporting </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Track owned equipment costs </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Recommend rental vs purchase decisions </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor utilization rates and idle equipment </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Cost equipment to jobs monthly</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Safety &amp; Compliance </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure all equipment meets safety and regulatory standards </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate inspections with Safety Director </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Remove unsafe or non-compliant equipment from service </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Support incident investigations involving equipment </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Authority &amp; Decision Rights </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Approve equipment assignments and reallocations </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Recommend equipment purchases and disposals </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Enforce equipment usage and return policies </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Remove damaged or unsafe equipment from service </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Escalate schedule-impacting issues to Director of Operations </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years in construction operations, equipment management, or field supervision </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong understanding of commercial construction equipment and tools </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience supporting Superintendents and field crews </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Working knowledge of safety standards and inspections </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong organizational and problem-solving skills </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Comfortable working in yard, shop, and jobsite environments </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>CDL (or ability to obtain), depending on fleet needs </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience managing yard or shop staff </li>\n<li>Ability to perform minor repairs on tools and small equipment</li>\n<li>Knowledge of equipment operations and maintenance</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Equipment uptime and availability </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Reduction in rental costs </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Tool loss and damage rates </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Fleet maintenance compliance </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Superintendent satisfaction </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Safety incidents related to equipment </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Working Conditions </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Combination of office, yard, and active jobsites </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Occasional early mornings or emergency response </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Physical activity including lifting and equipment inspection </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Job Type: Full-Time</p>\n<p>Salary: Hourly based on experience</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Alliance provides a full benefit package including vacation, health insurance, 401k match and company paid dental, vision, disability and life insurance.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p>Alliance Construction &amp; Design is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
