Inspects machines and air quality, designs safe work spaces, and creates policies for worker to follow that minimize job -related hazards</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Remove defective equipment. </li>\n <li>Investigate complaints.</li>\n <li>Conduct safety inspections. </li>\n <li>Participates in the development and implementation of department safety work order tracking and reporting. </li>\n <li>Conducts routine and follow-up safety and hazard inspections of Yokohama facilities. </li>\n <li>Responds to emergency situations involving hazardous materials, radiation, or fire and smoke incidents; prepares reports of findings and submits recommendations. </li>\n <li>Coordinate accident investigations and ensure effective completion in a timely manner. </li>\n <li>Analyzes accident and incident reports for trends; makes recommendations for correcting unsafe conditions and actions. </li>\n <li>Leads and/or guides the work of lower level technicians and/or employees. </li>\n <li>Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.</li>\n <li>Coordinate ISO 14001 EMS activities </li>\n <li>Evaluates and recommends pollution prevention and pollution control techniques</li>\n <li>Maintain all recordkeeping requirements for OSHA </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Knowledge and Skills</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Skill in performing safety inspections ensuring compliance with OSHA and NFPA safety standards.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel. </li>\n <li>Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. </li>\n <li>Ability to develop, implement, and enforce EHS programs reports. </li>\n <li>Ability to develop, implement, and enforce EHS programs and protocols.</li>\n <li>Skill in performing safety inspections and ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standards. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Knowledge of radiation safety procedures, standards, and protocols</p>\n<h2>Education and Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. </li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Requirements</h2>\n<p>The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
