    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>NaphCare is hiring a <strong>Travel</strong> <strong>PRN</strong> <strong>Registered Nurse </strong>(<strong>RN)</strong> just like you to join our team.<strong>  </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a <strong>Correctional Registered Nurse (RN</strong>), you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide care to the individuals in residence. Working within a controlled environment, where security is top priority and the days are never dull, you will have various duties to keep you engaged including performing physical assessments, administering medications, managing chronic illnesses, and responding to emergencies. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Responsibilities for Travel RN:</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Travel to sites to assist with transitions and fill-in shifts as needed</li>\n <li>Work under the mentorship of a Senior Vice President and Director of Jail Operations</li>\n <li>Understand the principles and concepts of medical quality assurance and utilization review</li>\n <li>Monitor and report on the quality of all facets of the medical care provided to patients</li>\n <li>Gather clinical information to assess and expedite care needs</li>\n <li>Conduct detailed clinical chart assessments including reviewing requests from providers regarding medical necessity of requested services for patients</li>\n <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and decision-making skills are essential</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Qualifications for Travel RN:</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Hold and maintain a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse licensed</li>\n <li><strong>Ability/willingness to seek licensure in other states</strong></li>\n <li>Ability to travel to sites in various states</li>\n <li>Must possess an active BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred)</li>\n <li>Knowledge of nursing practice principles and techniques, occupational health and safety standards, infectious disease management, applicable health care laws, regulations, and procedures for direct health care services.</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information</li>\n <li>Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills</li>\n <li>Able to work independently and in a team</li>\n <li>Integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements</li>\n <li>Quality assurance and utilization management experience preferred</li>\n <li><strong>Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Capabilities:</strong></p>\n<p>Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Why Join NaphCare?</strong></p>\n<p>NaphCare is one of the largest providers of healthcare services to correctional facilities throughout the US, and we are growing.
