Description

The BAS, Design & Project Engineer is a key role in our Building Automation division that performs engineering work on Construction based projects with the goal of developing a complete ATC submittal package based on rough designs provided by the Sales Department, while adhering to the respective project’s plans, addendums, specific job requirements and specifications. Control Valve Schedule (Size and select) ATC Damper/Actuator Schedule (Size and select) Select all required DDC components Generate a complete bill of materials Generate a complete set of project specific ATC schematic control drawings Order components after approved submission is obtained Identify and apply integration solutions Communicate with the design team via RFI’s to respectfully resolve questionable interpretations within the plan and specifications Other duties as assigned Competencies Thoroughness Technical Capacity Mechanical aptitude Communication Supervisory Responsibility Not applicable Work Environment The work area typically consists of construction and renovation sites and may include dust, noise, metal shavings, and other elements associated with being at a commercial job site. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, kneel, and crouch. Computer work which requires frequent use of hands, good vision, and ability to manipulate keyboards, printers, scanners, and other office equipment. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is an exempt (salaried) position. Travel This position is office based with occasional travel to job sites as needed. Required Education and Experience Minimum 5 year experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls strongly preferred Experience with electrical systems, mechanical systems, integration applications Tridium Niagara Certification Proficiency in various types of controls applications, system networking and IT coordination Experience with ACAD and Visio engineering software Excellent customer service skills Excellent communication skills Familiarity with network configurations, 3 rd party integrations, Good knowledge of Tridium Good knowledge of mechanical equipment sequencing Ability to work independently and as part of a team Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable) Criminal Background Check, PA Child Welfare and FBI fingerprinting clearance required; other clearances as required by state/districts of job sites DMV check Pre-employment drug screening and random drug testing during employment AAP/EEO Statement CM3 Building Solutions, Inc. is an affirmative action employer and does not consider disability, color, gender identity, genetic information, military or veteran status, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age 40 and over, or any other applicable status protected by state or local law, in any employment decision.
