Position is responsible for the daily coordination of assigned area. In addition, this position will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring standard work is being performed, and identifying and resolving quality issues. This position can apply their experience to problem solve and complete advanced tasks/work effectively and efficiently with little to no supervision.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong><u><em>What you will be doing</em></u></strong><strong><em>:</em></strong></p><p>&nbsp;Clamp, hold, tack-weld, grind component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.</p><ul><li>Remove rough spots from work pieces, using portable grinders.</li><li>Chip or grind off excess weld or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers &amp; portable grinders.</li><li>Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions with outstanding quality</li><li>Complete welding tasks at or above quality standards consistently and at or below expected timeframes for a master craftsperson</li><li>Proactively identifies upcoming issues, resolves, and implements future plans to prevent them from happening again.</li><li>Problem solves and trouble shoots challenging builds</li><li>Understands and utilizes experience on a wide variety of previous SAFE Boats builds, has strong understanding of and vast experience with SAFE Boats products.</li><li>Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.</li><li>Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc &amp; plasma arc.</li><li>Can trouble shoot and resolve minor equipment and tool issues independently</li><li>Position and secure work pieces, using hoists, cranes, wire, and banding machines or hand tools.</li><li>Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.</li><li>Expert in general safety practices, knowledgeable in SBI safety handbook and utilizes expert safety precautions with all tools and processes</li><li>Able to set up and/or verify settings on production machines and equipment</li><li>Operates a wide variety of handheld and power-assisted tools and production fixtures</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position</li><li>Effectively communicates with Team Members, Leads and their Supervisor/ Manager</li><li>Mentor and trains less experienced welders/fabricators</li><li>Assists leadership in developing standards and procedures <strong>&nbsp;</strong></li></ul><p><strong><u><em>What we need (Required Skills):</em></u></strong><strong><em>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</em>&nbsp; &nbsp;</strong></p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Advanced knowledge and expertise in aluminum welding</p><ul><li>Superior knowledge in standard build practices in comparable manufacturing environments&nbsp;</li><li>Advanced in all complex shop skills/tasks</li><li>Experience with a very wide variety of SAFE Boats products- previous and current</li><li>Follows directions and procedures with no supervision consistently&nbsp;</li><li>Adheres to all procedures and safe work practices</li><li>Problem<a id=\"_anchor_1\" href=\"#_msocom_1\" language=\"JavaScript\" name=\"_msoanchor_1\" target=\"_blank\">&nbsp;</a>solves complex tasks within the department</li><li>Currently leading team members at Dept.
