This role supports pile driving operations and requires hands-on experience with sheet pile, pipe pile, H-piles, and concrete piles.</p><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Assist with the setup, alignment, and installation of pile driving templates</li><li>Support rigging operations for hammers, sheets, and pile materials to ensure safe handling and placement</li><li>Guide and position sheet piles during installation, securing them to templates using clips, come-alongs, and other tools</li><li>Work alongside surveyors and supervisors to help maintain proper alignment and location of each pile</li><li>Ensure materials are installed plumb and to proper elevation under supervision</li><li>Assist in the safe removal of templates after pile installation is complete</li><li>Perform general labor duties including material handling, site cleanup, and tool maintenance</li><li>Support torch cutting and welding activities as directed</li><li>Follow all safety protocols and assist in maintaining a safe job site</li></ul><h3><strong>Requirements</strong></h3><ul><li>Experience working with sheet pile, pipe pile, H-piles, or concrete piles preferred</li><li>Construction or heavy civil labor experience required</li><li>Railroad project experience <strong>preferred but not required</strong></li><li>Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a crew</li><li>Strong awareness of job site safety practices</li><li>Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions</li></ul><h3><strong>Qualifications and Certifications (Preferred)</strong></h3><ul><li>OSHA Certification</li><li>Fall Protection</li><li>Rigging</li><li>Trench Safety</li><li>Confined Space</li><li>First Aid / CPR</li></ul><h3><strong>Benefits</strong></h3><ul><li>Competitive pay</li><li>Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance</li><li>401(k) with company match</li><li>Paid holidays and vacation</li><li>Employee referral program</li></ul><p>For over 100 years, Southland Holdings has built critical infrastructure through a commitment to innovation, integrity, and hard work.
