This outpatient-focused position offers opportunities to work with a collaborative team back and neck related orthopedic conditions.</p>\n<p>Inova&nbsp;Orthopedic Services&nbsp;leads the Northern Virginia and Washington, DC&nbsp;metro area in helping people with arthritis, orthopedic illness, trauma or injury to regain their active lifestyles. Our ortho specialties include groundbreaking, minimally invasive procedures to treat musculoskeletal diseases and injuries, including&nbsp;state-of-the-art joint replacement.</p>\n<p><strong>Featured Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Committed to Team Member Health:&nbsp;</strong>offering medical, dental and vision coverage, and a robust team member wellness program.</li>\n <li><strong>Retirement:&nbsp;</strong>Inova matches the first 5% of eligible contributions – starting on your first day.</li>\n <li><strong>Tuition and Student Loan Assistance:&nbsp;</strong>offering<strong>&nbsp;</strong>up to $5,250 per year in education assistance and up to $10,000 for student loans.</li>\n <li><strong>Mental Health Support:&nbsp;</strong>offering all Inova team members, their spouses/partners, and their children 25 mental health coaching or therapy sessions, per person, per year, at no cost.</li>\n <li><strong>Work/Life Balance:&nbsp;</strong>offering paid time off, paid parental leave, and flexible work schedules.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients with spine-related conditions (e.g., back/neck pain, spinal stenosis, herniated discs, degenerative disorders)</li>\n <li>Obtain detailed patient histories, perform physical examinations, and interpret diagnostic imaging (MRI, CT, X-ray)</li>\n <li>Collaborate with supervising physicians to develop differential diagnoses and individualized treatment plans</li>\n <li>Initiate and manage non-operative care, including physical therapy referrals, medication management, and spinal/joint injections</li>\n <li>Assist in surgical procedures, including patient positioning, prepping, and first or second assist in the OR (e.g., laminectomy, discectomy, spinal fusion)</li>\n <li>Manage pre-operative and post-operative care: wound assessments, dressing changes, and suture/staple removal</li>\n <li>Educate patients and families on spine anatomy, treatment options, recovery expectations, and long-term spine health</li>\n <li>Coordinate care transitions between inpatient and outpatient settings to ensure continuity and follow-up</li>\n <li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, radiologists, and pain management specialists</li>\n <li>Document all patient encounters, assessments, and procedures accurately and promptly in the EMR</li>\n <li>Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, state regulations, and scope-of-practice requirements</li>\n <li>Serve as a key point of contact for patient questions and concerns throughout the care continuum</li>\n <li>Provide emotional support for patients undergoing complex or chronic spine treatment</li>\n <li>Stay current with clinical best practices, spine care advancements, and surgical techniques through ongoing education and CME</li>\n <li>Participate in team meetings, clinical case reviews, and continuous quality improvement initiatives</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Additional Requirements</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Work Schedule: </strong>Full-Time</li>\n <li><strong>Education: </strong>Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program.&nbsp;</li>\n <li><strong>Certification: </strong>Board certified (ACNP or NCCPA certification), BLS, Virginia License, DEA.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong></p>",
