    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li> Stable and growing organization</li>\n <li> Quick advancement</li>\n <li> Professional, positive and people-centered work environment</li>\n <li> Modern facilities</li>\n <li> Clean, late model equipment</li>\n <li> Comprehensive benefits package: Health, Dental, Vision, AD&D, etc.</li>\n <li> Paid holidays (8); paid vacation and personal days</li>\n <li> 401(k) plan, Company Match</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>As a Lead Dock Worker/Customer Service Representative, you will load and unload freight in a productive, safe and claims-free manner, assisting Dayton Freight customers with a variety of inquires including freight pickup requests, manage rate quotes or freight charges and appointments or special requests</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Complete pre and post trip inspections on all dock equipment</li>\n <li>Properly document all freight control processes</li>\n <li>Participate in Dayton Freight’s training and improvement programs</li>\n <li>Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating work shifts and/or assignments</li>\n <li>Adhere to the operational procedures and guidelines contained in the Dayton Freight Driver/Dockworker Manual</li>\n <li>Dispatch P&D Drivers</li>\n <li>Plan Outbound Dock setup</li>\n <li>Manage W&R process</li>\n <li>OS&D checks, reports, and inspections</li>\n <li>Receive, control and enter incoming claims</li>\n <li>Manage incoming customer/internal emails and mail</li>\n <li>Manage and coordinate weekly claim payment reports with payables</li>\n <li>Prepare bills of lading and delivery receipts</li>\n <li>Maintain excellent communication with external and internal customers as well as interline companies</li>\n <li>Ability to remain stationary for up to 90% of his/her shift</li>\n <li>Ability to ascend to and descend from a forklift, as needed</li>\n <li>Ability to perform essential functions of the role on a concrete floor that may become slippery when wet</li>\n <li>Ability to perform essential functions of the role while exposed to varying outside temperatures</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>18 years of age</li>\n <li>Basic math skills</li>\n <li>Fluent in English</li>\n <li>Able to pass a drug screen</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Stable and growing organization</li>\n <li>Quick advancement</li>\n <li>Professional, positive and people-centered work environment</li>\n <li>Modern facilities</li>\n <li>Clean, late model equipment</li>\n <li>Comprehensive benefits package: Health, Dental, Vision, AD&D, etc.</li>\n <li>Paid holidays (8); paid vacation and personal days</li>\n <li>401(k) plan, Company Match</li>\n</ul>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Physical Demands</h2>This position requires the ability to perform routine physical tasks associated with dock and inspection operations, including ascending and descending from forklifts, operating forklifts and handling freight and related equipment.
