All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.</p>\n<h2>Duties, Responsibilities & Other</h2>\n<p>Key Responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work with the Project Manager for successful project execution.</li>\n <li>Design water and wastewater facilities including pumping stations, storage facilities and treatment plants.</li>\n <li>Prepare and review design calculations, engineering drawings, specifications, cost estimate, and technical evaluations and reports for various water and wastewater facility projects.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate records of design calculations, reports, and correspondencePerform site assessments and feasibility studies</li>\n <li>Provide technical direction or supervision to junior engineers-in-training and BIM/CAD technicians, or other technical personnel.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including preparing permit applications and obtaining necessary approvals</li>\n <li>Construction administration and engineering services (submittal review, contract document interpretation, requests for information, shop drawing reviews, correspondence, and change orders), as required</li>\n <li>Communicate and coordinate with clients, utility owners, project teams including other engineering disciplines, designers and subconsultants</li>\n <li>Comply with all KCI policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Complete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting project scope.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Work Experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficiency with BIM and CAD design platforms, specifically Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.</li>\n <li>Experience in process system design including pump head loss calculations and pump selection, treatment plant head losses, chemical system design, process equipment system design and similar systems. </li>\n <li>Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight project deadlines</li>\n <li>Ability to work as part of a collaborative, multi-discipline design team with the initiative to work independently and take on additional projects as needed</li>\n <li>Ability to conduct field work at existing facilities to gather information for reports and designs. </li>\n <li>Effective verbal and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Demonstrated proficiency in organization and presentation of documentation</li>\n <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Powerpoint is required. Experience with Microsoft Project is preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>* Essential Duties and Responsibilities are the basic job functions that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education and/or Work Experience Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or related field.</li>\n <li>Five (5) or more years of project experience in the study, design and engineering of water and wastewater facilities and related projects</li>\n <li>Proven experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring engineering projects.</li>\n <li>Proven experience in project management roles, with a track record of successful project delivery.</li>\n <li>Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.</li>\n <li>Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education and/or Work Experience Preferred</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s Degree</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.
