Description

Summary: The purpose of this position is to identify project material demand, evaluate supply vs. demand, and initiate material requirements planning for pipe fabrication projects. Responsibilities: Create material requisitions for assigned projects. Perform material take-offs from isometrics. Analyze shortage and excess reports. Manage material requirements for production and construction. Support the Accounts Payable Department on billing Issues. Oversee on-hand inventory for assigned projects. Pr epare work orders/pick tickets for production and construction. Generate material receiving reports. Issue materials into the s ystem. Create packing lists for ship-loose material and intercompany/site transfers. Education and Experience: Required: High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Associate or bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience. Pipe fabrication experience. Read and understand descriptions and specifications in pipe and steel Isometrics and verify against material lists in the system for accuracy. Microsoft Suite (Microsoft Excel emphasis). Oracle JDE experience is a plus. Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Physical Requirements: Ability to reach, stand, walk, use fingers, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see and to perform repetitive motions. Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
