This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a hands-on learning environment and is excited to help <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">expand our program into electric and hybrid vehicle (EV/Hybrid) education</span>, ultimately leading the development of a new degree pathway.</p>\n<p>You’ll join a collaborative faculty team dedicated to workforce readiness, innovation, and student success—while making a lasting impact on the region we serve.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Do</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Teaching &amp; Student Success</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Teach a full range of <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">automotive and diesel technology courses</span>, including engine performance, transmissions, drivetrains, braking systems, and emerging EV/Hybrid technologies</li>\n<li>Deliver engaging instruction through <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">hands-on labs, demonstrations, and classroom learning</span></li>\n<li>Evaluate student progress, provide mentoring, and support academic and career success</li>\n<li>Serve as an academic advisor when assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Curriculum Leadership</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop, revise, and assess curricula aligned with industry standards and workforce needs</li>\n<li>Lead efforts to <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">expand EV/Hybrid automotive education</span></li>\n<li>Maintain <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">NATEF/ASE-aligned accreditation standards</span></li>\n<li>Ensure labs and equipment remain current, safe, and industry-relevant</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Program &amp; Community Engagement</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with faculty, department leadership, and advisory boards</li>\n<li>Build strong relationships with local dealerships, repair facilities, and industry partners</li>\n<li>Assist with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">program recruitment, outreach, and marketing</span></li>\n<li>Participate in college committees, meetings, and commencement exercises</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We’re Looking For</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Associate degree (or equivalent)</span> in automotive or diesel technology</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Five (5) years</span> of full-time industry experience in automotive and/or diesel technology</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Current ASE certification</span> in at least three (3) areas</li>\n<li>Valid driver’s license</li>\n<li>Strong instructional, communication, and organizational skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ASE Master Diesel Technician</span></li>\n<li>Ten (10) years of diesel industry experience</li>\n<li>Teaching experience, preferably at the community college level</li>\n<li>Experience with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">electric and hybrid vehicle technologies</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills That Set You Apart</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Expertise in diagnosing and repairing engines, transmissions, drivetrains, and brake systems</li>\n<li>Ability to teach diverse learners using multiple instructional methods</li>\n<li>Proficiency with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Microsoft Office and D2L Brightspace</span></li>\n<li>Commitment to safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement</li>\n<li>Passion for mentoring students and strengthening workforce pipelines</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Join New River CTC?</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">direct impact on students’ careers and the regional workforce</span></li>\n<li>Help lead the <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">transition to EV and Hybrid automotive education</span></li>\n<li>Work in a supportive academic environment focused on access, innovation, and quality</li>\n<li>Ongoing <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">professional development</span>, including LinkedIn Learning and industry affiliations</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><br></p>",
