We believe in collaboration, mutual respect, open communication, and opportunity for growth.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide employee training to ensure competent performance to fulfill the requirements of this contract prior to the start of instructional support services. Be familiar with the course curriculum, technical training devices including Personal Data Assistants (PDAs), Laptops, Presentation Technology Classrooms (PTCs), Learning Resource Center (LRC) Electronic Podiums, Automated Electronic Classrooms (AECs) and Presentation Technology Classrooms (PTCs), as applicable</li>\n <li>Conduct small group and individualized tutoring as an extension of the classroom to foster small group and individualized instruction to assist FSPC students who need additional instruction to comprehend Arithmetic or Verbal Reasoning.</li>\n <li>Provide assistance and individual tutoring for recently covered topics</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred, in either mathematics or reading education, or closely related field from an accredited educational institution</li>\n <li>Minimum of 3-years or more of demonstrable accumulated experience (continuous and sustained experience preferred) in (young) adult education (2-year college setting preferred, high school setting acceptable). Experience teaching Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 OR Experience teaching reading, or reading literacy. Experience developing long and short-range planning and coordination of academic improvement programs resulting in attributable results with individuals or groups at the high school or college levels or with military personnel in the accompanying, respective settings</li>\n <li>Contract instructors shall have completed one of the following forms of training: \n  <ul>\n   <li>Military Service Instructor Training Course (ITC) </li>\n   <li>Instructor training via an academic institution </li>\n   <li>Academic credentialing (teacher/professor). Maintenance of required training and/or certification shall be an enduring element of the requirement</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>**ITC training requirements. Academic institutions ITC should contain at a minimum, these Learning Objectives: \n  <ul>\n   <li>Effective communication and questioning techniques</li>\n   <li>Adult learning theory and principles</li>\n   <li>Instructional Delivery methods</li>\n   <li>Lesson delivery performance laboratory</li>\n   <li>Training environment management</li>\n   <li>Inter-personal skills</li>\n   <li>Evaluation and Feedback</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Gain familiarity with applicable Navy rules, regulations and Navy course curriculum</li>\n <li>Have familiarity with Technical Training Equipment, Technical Training Devices, including Electronic Podiums, Automated Electronic Classrooms (AECs), Presentation Technology Classrooms (PTCs), Video Teaching and Teleconference (VTT), Instructor podium, and equipment</li>\n <li>Fluent oral and written communication skills in English</li>\n <li>Be a U.S. Citizen</li>\n <li>Eligibility to obtain a Secret level DoD clearance </li>\n</ul>",
