    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Shift: Full Time, 8:00AM-4:00PM</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Job Description</p>\n<p>Plans, implements and coordinates activities and interventions for the development, maintenance and expression of appropriate social and leisure lifestyles of patients admitted to the Unit. Performs a variety of duties involved in carrying out recreation programs in assigned areas and assists in planning programs. Provides guidance to the clinical Recreational staff and students.</p>\n<p>Job Responsibility</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides input for development of new programs for recreational therapy services.</li>\n <li>Guides the recreation therapy staff.</li>\n <li>Assists in the training of other recreation staff and volunteers.</li>\n <li>Develops an individual recreational regimen for each resident; provides documentation of all events that occur during the regimen.</li>\n <li>Performs and assists in overseeing the necessary recreational activities to enhance the quality of life for residents and rehabilitative patients.</li>\n <li>Coordinates staff and programs to assure resident needs are met without interruption.</li>\n <li>Ensures ordering, maintenance and storage of recreational supplies as appropriate.</li>\n <li>Plans and provides leisure educational activities.</li>\n <li>Assists the patient in acquiring the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed for independent leisure and social activities; adjustment in community; decision-making ability, and appropriate use of free time.</li>\n <li>Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Job Qualification</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.</li>\n <li>Current Therapeutic Recreation Specialist Certification required, plus specialized certifications as needed.</li>\n <li>3-5 years of relevant experience, required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><strong>*Additional Salary Detail</strong>&nbsp;<br>\n  The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
