POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) is an evidence-based, multidisciplinary treatment approach that provides comprehensive, coordinated, mental health services to adults with serious and persistent mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse disorders. This position provides face-to-face screening, assessment, crisis intervention, and individual/group counseling including addressing co-occurring substance use for individuals on the ACT Team. The purpose of this position is to provide behavioral health care counseling services in a culturally diverse community.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provides screening, assessment, treatment planning, individual/group counseling, and crisis intervention for clients on the ACT Team; provides information about community resources, refers clients to the most appropriate resources. Gathers information through intake interviews; evaluates nature and degree of mental/emotional distress, substance use/abuse, health issues, and social/interpersonal problems; develops individual service plans with clients. Conducts short and long-term therapy and/or counseling sessions with using various psychotherapeutic treatment modalities. Sessions may be conducted in a variety of settings including the main office, ancillary offices, residential locations and community settings. Coordinates treatment with other agencies, services and other programs within the agency. Completes case notes on intake process, treatment plan and client’s progress in accordance with ACT fidelity guidelines. Provides consultation and education services to community groups by assisting in program planning, giving educational talks and lectures, and by consulting on specific cases. Maintains required productivity expectation. Participates in clinical supervision and administrative meetings as required by the ACT Clinical Manager. Provides clinical support when needed to TBS Specialists/Manager on the team Reacts to change and stress productively and handles other tasks as assigned. Create and maintain a trauma-informed care environment that respects self-determination and the need for everyone to be treated with dignity and respect. Utilize respectful, trauma-informed language in all aspects of the job. Is able to work with others and as a member of the team. Exhibits the knowledge, skills, abilities, and minimum requirements listed in this Position Description. If bi-lingual, is expected to provide translation and interpretive services to clients needing these services Maintains regular, predictable attendance Other tasks as assigned.

LISW or LPCC preferred. </li><li>Experience in assessment, crisis intervention, conducting long and short-term therapy and counseling or other experience in the treatment of mental health/chemical abuse are preferred. Must have strong oral and written skills. </li><li>Basic computer skills required, including familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office. </li><li>Must be highly skilled at behavioral health screening/assessment and counseling in both chemical abuse and mental illness, making appropriate referrals, and working effectively with competing priorities. </li><li>The necessity for travel in this job requires that the employee possess a valid Ohio driver's license, a clean driving record, have proof of adequate personal automobile insurance, and use of a personal vehicle. </li><li>Must have favorable references and/or evaluations. </li><li>Bilingual (English/Spanish speaking) major plus. </li><li>Experience with EHR (electronic health records) a plus.</li></ul><p><br/></p>",

"requirements_html": "<p><u><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED</strong></u></p><ul><li>In order to perform the essential functions of this job, after an orientation period, the employee must possess the following: a working knowledge of Riveon Mental Health and Recovery Policy and Procedures, including sensitivity and adherence to clients’ rights, confidentiality, and health and safety issues. </li><li>Must exhibit sensitivity to different cultures.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><u><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS</strong></u></p><ul><li>Services are provided in the office, home, and various locations in the community.</li><li>The individual must be able to speak and communicate clearly, both orally and in writing. </li><li>Due to the amount of paperwork that is required, the individual must have excellent documentation skills. </li><li>The employee may be required to sit for extended periods and will spend a portion of their time on the telephone. </li><li>Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, and lift and push minimal loads at various times. </li><li>A considerable amount of time may also be spent working on a computer so the employee should have close vision ability. </li><li>In addition, the individual must be able to operate basic office equipment.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><u><strong>REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS</strong></u></p><ul><li>A master’s degree in a mental health related field with the following license is required: LSW or LPC. LISW or LPCC preferred. </li><li>Experience in assessment, crisis intervention, conducting long and short-term therapy and counseling or other experience in the treatment of mental health/chemical abuse are preferred. Must have strong oral and written skills. </li><li>Basic computer skills required, including familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office. </li><li>Must be highly skilled at behavioral health screening/assessment and counseling in both chemical abuse and mental illness, making appropriate referrals, and working effectively with competing priorities. </li><li>The necessity for travel in this job requires that the employee possess a valid Ohio driver's license, a clean driving record, have proof of adequate personal automobile insurance, and use of a personal vehicle. </li><li>Must have favorable references and/or evaluations. </li><li>Bilingual (English/Spanish speaking) major plus. </li><li>Experience with EHR (electronic health records) a plus.</li></ul><p><br></p>",
