    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Responsible for identifying, implementing and supervising EHS activities while strengthening overall site performance.  Position works to ensure compliance with National, State and local regulations. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage air, wastewater and hazardous waste programs to assure compliance with environmental regulations and to control compliance costs.</li>\n <li>Support and reinforce Life Safety programs such as Lockout/Tagout, Hot Work and Confined Space. Identify hazardous workplace conditions, perform and document job hazard/risks analyses. </li>\n <li>Work to create a culture that puts safety first, promotes interest in, and awareness of health, safety, environmental, and security issues at all levels.</li>\n <li>Provide processes, procedures and training for personnel that ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing environmental, safety, and health.</li>\n <li>Responsible for the timely preparation, submittal, and maintenance of required records, permits, and reports, in accordance with established guidelines by local, state, and federal agencies and corporate guidelines.</li>\n <li>Assist plant operations and Maintenance in process troubleshooting, project reviews, management of change, PHA, PSSR, incident investigations and other areas</li>\n <li>Maintain emergency response plans, training, and equipment to ensure safe operations and readiness to protect employees and facilities.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to travel <10% of time</li>\n <li>Demonstrates understanding of federal and state laws associated with environmental and safety</li>\n <li>Apply strong detailed analytical skills to effectively solve problems</li>\n <li>Demonstrates excellent written, oral and interpersonal talents, and effective negotiation skills</li>\n <li>Demonstrates effective computer skills (MS Office suite)</li>\n <li>Able to manage multiple, simultaneous tasks, prioritize work, and work to deadlines</li>\n <li>Demonstrate ability to lead, motivate, and positively influence others</li>\n <li>Demonstrate strong self-initiative and self-teaching</li>\n <li>Able to work independently and in a team environment</li>\n <li>Able to tolerate high stress levels</li>\n <li>Plant process improvement experience is a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Education & Experience</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BS Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
