    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>FlexStaff is seeking a <strong>full-time</strong> Orthotic Fitter to join our client's team at their Monroe and Nanuet, NY locations (floating).&nbsp;</p><p>This role will be responsible for fitting, evaluating, and modifying a wide range of orthotic devices. This is a perfect position for someone interested in a healthcare career who enjoys hands-on work with patients in a clinical setting. Opportunities for growth and the ability to become certified as a Orthotic Fitter which would include compensation change.</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">High school diploma/GED required; associate degree or higher preferred.</p></li><li><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">COF (ABC or BOC) preferred; coursework/exam support available if not yet certified.</p></li><li><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">2–3+ years in orthotic fitting and patient care, preferably in a multidisciplinary setting.</p></li><li><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">Experience with complex or high-volume caseloads preferred.</p></li><li><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">Proficient with EMRs and documentation best practices.</p><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\"><strong>Preferred backgrounds (not required)</strong></p><ul><li><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">Athletic Trainer (ATC)</p></li><li><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)</p></li><li><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">Physical Therapy Aide/Technician</p></li><li><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">Students or graduates in Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, or related fields</p></li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">Evaluate patients and select custom, prefabricated, or off-the-shelf orthoses per clinical assessment and prescription.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">Fit, align, and adjust devices to optimize comfort, function, and outcomes.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">Coordinate care with certified practitioners, physicians, therapists, and case managers.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">Educate patients and caregivers on orthosis use, care, and safety.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">Mentor entry-level orthotic fitters and clinical assistants.</p></li><li><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">Contribute to complex case reviews and interdisciplinary treatment planning.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">Document care accurately and compliantly (Medicare, HIPAA, facility policies).&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">Manage inventory; assist with product selection and trials of new technologies.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">Maintain a clean, safe, organized clinic/workspace.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">Stay current on orthotic technologies, techniques, and regulations.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">Participate in on-call rotation.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.25in;\">Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.</p></li></ul><p style=\"margin-left: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left: 0in;\"><strong>*Additional Salary Detail</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left: 0in;\">The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
