    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Hourly Pay</strong><strong>: </strong>$23.00 - $25.00 a hour </p>\n<p><strong>Location: </strong>5000 Birch St Suite 1400 Newport Beach, California 92660<strong> ON-SITE</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Schedule: </strong>Monday - Thursday I 3:00pm - 7:00pm<strong> (Part-time)</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We’re looking for a passionate Clinical Support Staff to create joy and heal generations at Embark Behavioral Health’s <strong>IOP/PHP program</strong> in <strong>Newport Beach, CA</strong>—a beautiful coastal community with a vibrant blend of beach life, art, and wellness! </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We’re dedicated to reducing adolescent anxiety, depression, and suicide rates—and we need your expertise to help make it happen. At Embark, you’ll join a comprehensive team that includes Licensed Therapists, Clinical Support Staff, a Music Therapist, a Yoga Therapist, a Registered Art Therapist, and two Therapy Support Dogs, all creating a vibrant, collaborative environment.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist the clinical staff in supporting clients in treatment groups and activities.</li>\n <li>Supervises the students and ensures that they are being safe to themselves and to those around them.</li>\n <li>Helps clinical staff enforce Group Rules and Norms.</li>\n <li>Rewards and praises students for positive behavior.</li>\n <li>Assists students in processing through the students’ various issues and concerns.</li>\n <li>Develops a healthy and meaningful staff/student relationship with each student.</li>\n <li>Advises students regarding problem solving and offers healthy coping strategies for dealing with the students’ emotions.</li>\n <li>Observes and charts student behavior, affect, and participation.</li>\n <li>Monitors the environment surrounding the clients at all times for safety and is aware of emergency procedures.</li>\n <li>Provides care and monitors symptoms for individuals with moderate or high risk of suicide.</li>\n <li>Assists Clinical Team in Assessing clients for suicide risk and performing appropriate screening for suicide risk when needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, behavioral science, or equivalent field.</li>\n <li>Experience working with adolescents, teens and young adults ages 12 - 28 yrs. old</li>\n <li>Experience working in a behavioral or mental health setting</li>\n <li>Team player with a growth mindset</li>\n <li>Effective written and verbal communication skills</li>\n <li>Ability to pass a state background check</li>\n <li>Microsoft Suite & Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Embark is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.</strong> We are committed to enriching the therapeutic and healing experience we offer through the diversity of our employees and community.
