    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<div>\n <p><strong>What's In It For You:</strong></p>\n <p><strong>Bonus:</strong></p>\n <ul>\n  <li>$750 sign-on bonus for Certified Nursing Assistants\n   <ul>\n    <li>Must maintain at least 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week)</li>\n   </ul></li>\n </ul>\n <p><strong>Paid Training &amp; Certification:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n <ul>\n  <li>CNA course provided at no cost (training fees covered, but training is unpaid)</li>\n  <li>Cares Dementia Certification paid training provided&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Community-Based Residential Facility (CBRF) Certification paid training provided&nbsp;</li>\n </ul>\n <p><strong>Extra Cash:</strong></p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Earn shift differentials from $0.50 to $3.00 per hour depending on shift</li>\n  <li>Earn additional pay incentives up to $5.00 per hour for picking up additional, non-scheduled shifts</li>\n </ul>\n <p><strong>Position Summary:</strong><br>\n  This position provides basic care for residents/tenants to assure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times within a safe environment; assists with activities of daily living, offers emotional and social support, and attends residents/tenants' overall physical comfort. This position is available for Full-Time, Part-Time, or On-Call.</p>\n <p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong>&nbsp;<br><i>The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be required and assigned.</i></p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Provides personal hygiene including bathing (tub, shower, bed bath), oral care, skin and nail care and hand washing.</li>\n  <li>Completes resident grooming including hair care, shaving, dressing and weighing. Encourages residents/tenants toward independent personal care.</li>\n  <li>Assists with toileting including bowel and bladder retraining and perinea care.</li>\n  <li>Performs and assists with mobility, transferring, ambulation, positioning and range of motion per the care plan.</li>\n  <li>Assists in orienting residents/tenants upon admission and throughout stay as needed.</li>\n  <li>Documents accurately all care given, including dietary intake and output, temperature, weight, blood pressure pulse and respiration, using approved abbreviations and descriptive terms.</li>\n  <li>Reports to nurse on units for written and verbal assignments which include daily use of care plans for assigned residents/tenants before initiating care.</li>\n  <li>Participates in the planning of resident care through shift reports and resident care staffing meetings when assigned.</li>\n  <li>Informs verbally and/or submit in writing any observations and changes in a resident for the licensed nurse to evaluate including dietary intake.</li>\n  <li>Serves residents/tenants their meals; motivates and assists them with intake of nourishment and fluids.</li>\n  <li>Answer all call signals and requests of residents/tenants immediately.</li>\n  <li>Encourages/assist residents/tenants in keeping their rooms clean and orderly; assists with making beds.</li>\n  <li>Maintains nursing unit in a clean and orderly manner.</li>\n  <li>Keeps all residents/tenants’ personal belongings and equipment clean.</li>\n  <li>Escorts residents/tenants to appointments and/or therapy departments as scheduled.</li>\n  <li>Participates in unit activity programs planned for residents/tenants as needed.</li>\n  <li>Attends and participates in unit nursing staff meetings and mandatory in-services.</li>\n  <li>Performs a total inventory of all resident’s possessions on admission, discharge or transfer.</li>\n  <li>Ensures all residents/tenants’ possessions are properly labeled.</li>\n  <li>Responds to resident emergency including bleeding, falls, seizures and performance of Heimlich maneuver.</li>\n  <li>Assists with post-mortem care as assigned.</li>\n  <li>Transports dietary carts and linen carts.</li>\n  <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n </ul>\n <p><br><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES &nbsp;</strong></p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Knowledge of PPE and its proper use for personal safety measures.</li>\n  <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality of all resident care information and assure resident rights and privacy are protected at all times per HIPAA.</li>\n  <li>Ability to create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth and personal interest as well as a clean environment.</li>\n  <li>Ability to work tactfully and cooperatively with residents/tenants, families, visitors and entire staff throughout the organization.</li>\n  <li>General knowledge of standard office procedures, practices, equipment and office assistance techniques.</li>\n  <li>General knowledge of County and department programs and policies.</li>\n  <li>Ability to prepare and maintain accurate and concise records and reports.</li>\n  <li>Ability to work the allocated hours of the position.</li>\n </ul>\n <p><br><strong>LANGUAGE SKILLS &nbsp;</strong></p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.</li>\n  <li>Proficiency in workplace English and spelling.</li>\n </ul>\n <p><strong>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS</strong></p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately.</li>\n </ul>\n <p><strong>REASONING ABILITY</strong></p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Ability to understand and effectively carry out verbal and written instructions.</li>\n  <li>Ability to develop, interpret and implement local policies and procedures, written instructions, general correspondence, and Federal, State, and local regulations.</li>\n  <li>Ability to define problems and deal with a variety of situations.</li>\n  <li>Ability to think quickly, maintain self-control, and adapt to stressful situations.</li>\n  <li>Organizational and time management skills needed to meet deadlines.</li>\n  <li>Must have ability to work accurately with attention to detail.</li>\n  <li>Ability to analyze facts and to exercise sound judgment in arriving at conclusions.</li>\n </ul>\n <p><br><strong>PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:</strong><br><i>The physical and work environment characteristics described in this description are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.&nbsp;
