Candidates with significant experience seeking a term (non tenure-track) position are also highly encouraged to apply.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span>The MSW program at Saint Mary’s College is a mission-centered online clinical social work program that has an emphasis on healthcare and clinical social work/mental health career pathways for graduates. The program has undergone its third site visit in candidacy under the 2022 EPAS and is awaiting word on final accreditation. Social work education is an area of excellence at Saint Mary’s, with an on-campus BSW program that was fully accredited in 1998. While the program is delivered online, the Director is an in-person, not remote, position.&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span><strong>Teaching, Research, and Service Expectations:</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Serving as Program Director for the Master of Social Work Program (renewable term).</span></li>\n <li><span>12-month, in-person appointment with a reduced teaching load (3 courses per year) while serving as director.</span></li>\n <li><span>Teaching at the MSW level with a possibility of teaching at the BSW level.</span></li>\n <li><span>MSW Program student academic and career advising.</span></li>\n <li><span>College, Departmental, and MSW Program service including required service on committees.</span></li>\n <li><span>Engaging in scholarly and professional activities.</span></li>\n <li><span>Recruiting and retaining students in the MSW Program.</span></li>\n <li><span>Serving as the principal representative of the MSW program to the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).</span></li>\n <li><span>Coordinating and overseeing the MSW Program’s CSWE accreditation processes.&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span><strong>Qualifications:</strong>
</span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>A Master’s degree in social work from a program accredited by CSWE or CASWE and a doctoral degree, preferably in social work. Graduates of Master's programs outside of the United States or Canada must have their transcripts approved by CSWE ISWDRES prior to applying.</span></li>\n <li><span>Two years post-MSW practice experience.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Demonstrated excellence in teaching.</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience with CSWE accreditation through participating in writing a self-study or benchmark document and/or conducting assessment for CSWE accreditation.</span></li>\n <li><span>Knowledge of online program planning, competency-based assessment, curriculum development, and monitoring students' progress.</span></li>\n <li><span>Knowledge of higher education governance policies and regulatory compliance.</span></li>\n <li><span>Academic leadership experience in an MSW or BSW program (managing faculty and staff; budget development and resource allocation; experience with program evaluation and continuous quality improvement).</span></li>\n <li><span>Active involvement in professional social work organizations.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>License in clinical social work preferred, but not required; willingness to earn license in clinical social work if not yet earned.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span><strong>For the initial application, please submit the following materials:</strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Curriculum Vitae.</span></li>\n <li><span>Letter of application that conveys your relevant experience and your interest in working at a Catholic, justice-oriented, women’s, liberal arts college in a position focused on graduate education. (As noted above, our graduate programs are coeducational.)</span></li>\n <li><span>Statement of teaching philosophy that addresses your commitment to </span><span>fostering an inclusive classroom environment, considering students from a broad variety of backgrounds and learning styles.</span></li>\n <li><span>Evidence of teaching effectiveness (e.g., student evaluations; peer observations of teaching)</span></li>\n <li><span>Statement describing research, scholarship, and grants received.</span></li>\n <li><span>Statement of higher education administrative experience or supervisory experience.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span>All materials should be submitted and the review of applications will begin on April 10 and will continue on a rolling basis until the position is filled.&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span>If invited to progress to the next round of consideration, you will be asked to provide graduate transcripts and contact information for three referees; confidential letters of recommendation will be solicited at that time.</span></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span><strong>Eligibility to Work:</strong> Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and must not require visa sponsorship from the College, either now or in the future.</span></p>\n<p></p>",
