Then make AIT Worldwide Logistics the next stop on your career ladder!</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Operations Agent is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day import/export of (international) freight forwarding shipments through airfreight transportation based upon customer requests.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Work with customers to qualify their shipping requirements and obtain all details (regulations, certificates, documentation) necessary for shipment quotation and operating to ensure the customer’s request is satisfied.</li>\n <li>Prepare profitable quotations accurately.</li>\n <li>Set shipping schedules and communicate with customers, deliverers, and ports to verify loading, departures, and arrivals in a timely manner.</li>\n <li>Coordinate the day-to-day import and/or export of products, including reviewing orders and documents.</li>\n <li>Track and communicate all delays, damages, problems and work to resolve customer issues.</li>\n <li>Responsible for all aspects of (international) operations such as customer service, data entry of shipments, operations and billing.</li>\n <li>Manage all aspects of tracking shipments to ensure shipment is moving as scheduled and update system immediately upon verification. Identify and rectify if a shipment has deviated from its schedule.</li>\n <li>Coordinate recovery/delivery schedules with various cartage agents and international partners.</li>\n <li>Partner with local sales teams to communicate problems to customers, international partners, and other stations, as needed.</li>\n <li>Ensure all customers’ SOP instructions are adhered to and AIT KPIs and guidelines are followed and met.</li>\n <li>Ensure all shipments are properly billed within company guidelines and timelines.</li>\n <li>Process and comply with all requirements listed by regulatory agencies.</li>\n <li>Network with corresponding departments to ensure files are billed and posted prior to end of month</li>\n <li>Continuous learning through required compliance training and certifications of software and/or regulations.</li>\n <li>Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary</li>\n <li>Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (as applicable).</li>\n <li>Contribute actively to a healthy and secure work environment by reporting unsafe/ unsecure/ unhealthy conditions and possible improvements.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>High School Degree or equivalent </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Other skills and experience: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Fluent Dutch and communicative English is a must</li>\n <li>Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously in the work setting</li>\n <li>A team player who works well with others, being respectful to our teammates is a Core Value! </li>\n <li>Customer service focus – we serve a wide variety of customers, both internal and external, and building relationships is a part of our culture!</li>\n <li> Resolves non-routine problems with specialized knowledge </li>\n <li>Applies fundamental concepts</li>\n <li> Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices </li>\n <li> Utilizes established procedures but decides action within task </li>\n <li>Must be able to perform in a fast pace / high volume work environment </li>\n <li>Attention to detail</li>\n <li>Problem Solving </li>\n <li>Strong PC skills (Windows, Microsoft Office applications) preferred</li>\n <li>Cargo Wise Software experience a plus</li>\n <li>ITAR, Dangerous Goods or TSA work experience / regulations</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What AIT Can Offer You</h2>\n<p>In addition to a competitive salary and benefits, we offer great programs for our employees, for example, 5 volunteer hours a year to give back to the community in a charitable event.  </p>\n<h2>About AIT Worldwide</h2>\n<p>AIT Worldwide Logistics is a global freight forwarding company headquartered in Chicago USA.
