    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>Primary Purpose</u></strong>: &nbsp;</p><p>Under the direction of an experienced Journeyman Mechanic, the Mechanic Helper assists with repairs and adjustments to multiple types of coffee equipment; such as: automotive Vehicles, agricultural equipment/implements And various equipment used in coffee farm operations.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Qualification Requirements:</u></strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; <u>Minimum Qualifications:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.</li><li>Must have a High School Diploma or its equivalent.</li><li>Must possess a valid Type 3 driver&rsquo;s license.</li><li>Must have some experience with Automotive and heavy equipment repair.</li><li>Must be physically and mentally capable of performing the assistance job functions.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Related/On The Job Training:</u></strong></p><ul><li>May be required to learn or know some/most skills of the trade, open to learning about technology, or any new installed equipment for understanding job functions.</li></ul><p><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p><strong><u>Skills/Knowledge:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Must be able to understand and take direction in required instruction to complete jobs assigned to the duties required in the trade.</li><li>Prefer a working knowledge of types of &nbsp;shop equipment/tools used.</li><li>Must be able to work closely with the equipment shop mechanics and orchard/factory employees.</li><li>Must be aware of OSHA&rsquo;s requirements for a safe work place/area.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Experience/Education:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Verifiable work experience and/or education in a related field will be considered.</li></ul><p><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p><strong><u>Hours of Work:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Must be able to work posted work schedule, and overtime if necessary.</li><li>Must utilize the established method in the assigned area to record work hours, start and finish times.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Trade Level Distinction:</u>&nbsp; Group V - Helper</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Performs tasks associated with the trade as requested.</li><li>Requires supervision and is able to, think, confirm and follow information related to work.</li><li>Completes work assigned by Lead journeyman Mechanic in allotted time based on instruction.</li><li>Applies learned information to assigned tasks.</li><li>Asks and has work approved at completion and is responsible for assignment(s).</li><li>Follows instruction, completes reports, and communicates status of work requests.</li><li>Performs tasks of average difficulty associated with the trade.</li><li>Requires frequent to occasional supervision but is able to independently, through skill and experience, solve a majority of problems related to work.</li><li>Completes work in average time.</li><li>Is responsible for the completion of work.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong><u>Evaluation:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Monthly Job Assignment Sheet</li><li>6 Months Performance Evaluation</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong><u>Source &amp; Nature of Supervision</u>:</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong>Is responsible to the Lead journeyman mechanic who gives work assignments.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Essential Duties/Functions:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Based on direction/instructions; uses tools and materials to be used for job assignment.</li><li>May assist in dismantling, overhauling, repairing and makes adjustments under direct direction to equipment</li><li>May operate equipment with training in assisting the loading, unloading and moving of equipment in the shop and factory.</li><li>Obtains material from Parts room and equipment yard.</li><li>Cleans up and maintains shop equipment and shop area.</li><li>Certification and/or licensing may be required, such as driver&rsquo;s license, professional license, or other.</li><li>Compliance with all House Rules, Company/Department Policies and Company/Union Agreements.</li><li>Compliance with all Federal, State, Local and Company safety, health and environmental regulations.</li><li>Regular attendance &ndash; Must report absence from work to Supervisor one hour prior to scheduled start time.</li><li>Absences related to Family Medical Leave Act must be reported to Human Resources.</li></ul><p><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p><strong><u>Other Duties/Functions:</u></strong></p><ul><li>If trained or has training, may do minor welding and cutting when necessary.</li><li>Does other related work as instructed by supervisor.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Working Conditions:</u></strong>&nbsp; Exposed to variable weather conditions, such as sun, heat, rain, wind, dust, and other.
