Description
USGI is seeking an Analyst/ Programmer I to provide vital staff support and subject matter expertise to fulfill the multiple mandates and programs on behalf of the Department of Health and Human Services for the U.S. government such as the new task assigned to the OSP Biosecurity team to lead efforts to strengthen oversight related to critical life sciences research with potential biosafety and biosecurity implications and the intersection of biosecurity and bioeconomy, and in addition, staff provide support for the monitoring of biosafety practices and containment principles as outlined by the NIH Guidelines.
Representative Functional Roles: Program analyst, program assistant, compliance specialist.
Functional Responsibility: Participate in studies and analyses related to planning and feasibility of major systems acquisition, planning and feasibility of major systems modification, analysis of alternatives for selection of systems, develop functional hardware and software specifications, analysis of general system security issues, development of prototype systems, general design or redesign of computer systems. Responsible for delivery of services consistent with established standard of quality.
Required Qualifications
Three (3) to five (5) years progressive experience in system analysis and computer programming in various areas of expertise related to finance, resource management, personnel, operations or administration, including contemporary computer hardware and software systems.
