Hiring Range: Starting at $80,000
This position is responsible for contributing to Bellini College's mission through the key functions of program-level analytics and reporting, as well as college representation and coordination, in addition to tracking and monitoring university metric-based data, coordinating performance and accountability efforts. This vital role involves monitoring data related to departmental course offerings, tracking enrollment trends, tuition revenue, and curriculum changes. Additionally, managing the college’s external data submissions includes completing several major national surveys and reports (e.g., US. News and World Report, FL Board of Governors, IPEDS, and NCES).
Serve as a college leader in the design and execution of college-centric data reporting and advanced analytics to support financial and strategic decision-making. This includes guiding resource allocation for AI, cybersecurity, and computing programs; informing program evaluations, accreditation proposals, and grant submissions; and supporting enrollment forecasting and capacity planning for specific courses. Leveraging institutional data platforms and specialized AI and machine-learning tools to assess program needs and generate actionable reports that inform curriculum development, technology adoption, and ongoing improvement efforts. Data-driven recommendations are provided to executive leadership, faculty, and college administration to help optimize academic and research initiatives.
Represent the Bellini College in collaborations with all other USF colleges and the Office of Decision Support (ODS) to align data standards, security/privacy protocols, and emerging analytics capabilities. To assist with university committees and task forces, advocating for the college’s policy, practice, and technology investment priorities. In addition to disseminating important notices or policy and practice changes, including student data governance updates, security advisories, and reporting requirements, back to appropriate college units and staff, ensuring consistent compliance and awareness across academic and support teams.
Opened in 2025 and powered by a University of South Florida record $40 million gift from Arnie and Lauren Bellini, USF’s Bellini College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Computing is the first in Florida, and among the first in the nation, to unify AI, cybersecurity, and computing within a single college. More than 65 faculty members focus on cutting-edge research and educating 3,000+ bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students across 15 degree programs in computer science, cybersecurity, AI, information technology, and computer engineering. The college emphasizes industry-relevant education and experiential learning to prepare students for real-world challenges. It also serves as the central hub for AI and cybersecurity research and teaching at USF, collaborating with colleges and units across the university.
Responsibilities
Reporting & Analysis
Access to internal and external data sources is utilized to compile reports and provide detailed analyses that support informed decision-making across a range of academic and budget-related matters. Serving as a data steward on the university’s Data Dive team and as a member of the university’s data-related advisory board ensures active participation in institutional data governance. Collaboration with multiple stakeholders is essential during the annual College Review process, including data validation, report and response preparation, and evaluation support. College data is also prepared and contextualized for special projects and ad hoc requests from units or upper-level administration.
Data Administrator
Serve as lead on internal data requests, offering analyses and collaborating on decision-making around academic strategies and fiscal budget-related matters. In addition to external data request submissions for national surveys, Florida BOG reports, and requests through ODS, URO, and the provost’s office. Makes recommendations for improvements to system tools, reports, and related policies and procedures.
Academic Administration
Represent the college on various university committees, such as those focused on enrollment management, scheduling, registration, and data systems, and share relevant information within the college as needed. Provide direction and oversight for department course schedulers to ensure accurate and timely scheduling. Additionally, offer back-up support on compliance-related matters, including textbook adoption, grade submissions, and accreditation requirements.
Course Scheduling & Curriculum Support
Monitor course enrollments to identify opportunities for improvement and respond to departmental requests for additional sections through research and team consultation, considering budgetary constraints and student degree-progression needs. Review and approve curriculum and course proposal changes, serving as the lead college approver for curriculum matters. Develop program-specific degree-progression flowcharts and collaborate with institutional offices to create or revise degree audits. Participate in the university’s Course Scheduling & Registration team to support coordinated academic planning and operations.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, business intelligence, statistics or a field related to programmatic responsibilities and 3 years of professional experience in data reporting, analysis, or administration—preferably within higher education or a similarly complex, data-driven organization. Proficiency with institutional data systems (e.g., PeopleSoft/Oracle, Ellucian Banner or similar SIS); Strong command of SQL and advanced spreadsheet modeling (Excel); Experience building dashboards and visualizations in tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree.
