Do you have education or life experiences that can help a young family to realize their capacity and live their best lives?</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>If yes, Chimo is looking for people like you to fill part-time and full-time Care Worker positions in our Group Care Home designed especially for youth. As a Care Worker in our program, you will be part of a close-knit team that provides support, education, and nurturing in a 24/7 caring, safe, home environment. Your work will help youth develop the skills they need to thrive. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">We are currently looking to fill these roles:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Full Time Care Counsellor - <span>Level 1 or 2 only with drive. (Level 1 - Diploma, Level 2-Degree)</span></p>\n<p><span> Relief Care Counsellor - Level 1 or 2 only with drive. (Level 1 - Diploma, Level 2-Degree)</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We are currently <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">only</span> looking for level 1 or 2 candidates, with a class 5 license, and 3 years claims free auto insurance history.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>More details about what we are looking for</span></span><span>:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Warm and caring individuals who can form strong, supportive relationships with youth from diverse and often disadvantaged backgrounds and histories. We are looking for mentors to guide youth through challenges and help them feel safe and valued.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br><span>People with some level of post-secondary education. We most often hire people with diplomas and degrees in Child and Youth Care or Social Work.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>People who work best in a team environment. We are looking for team members who are excited to make lasting differences in the lives of youth while building a rewarding career in the Child and Youth Care field.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Employees with standard employee workplace skills, including good communication, decent writing skills, punctuality in starting shifts on time, able to use technology in the workplace, and a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Are </span><span>physically able to do this work, including work shift work, </span><span>work indoors and outdoors in all seasons, climb stairs in the group home, complete </span><span>household management tasks (e.g., cleaning, meal prep, cooking, grocery shopping) and </span><span>yard work (mowing lawns, planting gardens, raking leaves, shoveling snow). This is not a desk job.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>People who understand the concepts that are important to us, including trauma-informed care, strength-based approaches, Indigenous worldviews, child and youth development, child-parent attachment, therapeutic milieu of group care.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>What paperwork do we need from you before you start?</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Level 2 staff will have a degree in human services.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Level 1 staff will have a diploma, actively working on their post-secondary degree, and/or have life experiences/job experiences that will provide value to the role. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>A clear and current, within 6 months, Criminal Records Check</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>A clear and current Children Services Intervention Record Check</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>A valid Class 5 Driver’s License, a clean Drivers’ Abstract <em>and</em>  3 Full -years insurance history.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses minimum)</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span>If your degree came from an international institute you will be asked for an ISQA Assessment (International Qualifications Assessment Service - <a href=\"https://www.alberta.ca/international-qualifications-assessment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) | Alberta.ca</a>)</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>What We Offer</span></span><span>:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>A great place to develop and grow your career with tons of valuable, hands-on experience in the critical field of Child and Youth Care.
