Our Bonus structure has allowed some of our underwriters to double their base salary per year.  Lastly, we are big on Work Life Balance and Teamwork here, our Underwriters work on a pod system that creates a positive work environment that allows Underwriters the perfect conditions for success and growth.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>PRMG offers a comprehensive benefits package for our full-time employees and their dependents, which includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, a Health Savings Account (HSA), a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), and various other products, based on benefits eligibility, elections, and employee premiums. Upon hire, you will be eligible to enroll in all our company-sponsored benefit programs (Medical, Dental, Life, and Voluntary) on the first of the following month. After completing 60 days, you will be eligible to enroll in our 401(k) program on the first of the following month. Additionally, eligible employees may apply for job openings through PRMG’s Internal and External Job Portal to request a transfer to a different department or position.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Mortgage Underwriter Responsiblities</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Underwriter completes a thorough analysis of loan files to determine compliance with company, investor, and FHA/VA guidelines. </li>\n <li>Underwrites the entire credit package and collateral for residential mortgage loans and ultimately ensures an “investment” quality loan product. </li>\n <li>Checks accuracy of all calculations and data integrity. Completion of all required underwriting worksheets found in Fast Trac 360 Resource Center. </li>\n <li>Assists with the training of new underwriters. - Recommends the loan disposition to underwriting manager for loan amounts in excess of authority limitation. </li>\n <li>Maintains company standard for Underwriter productivity level, and complies with company policy of 48 hour underwriting turnaround time and 24 hour turnaround time for clearing conditions. </li>\n <li>Strives to meet 3 Underwriting decisions/day within allotted time - Communicates decision on loans to appropriate parties both verbally and in writing. </li>\n <li>Maintains underwriting activity logs and provides monthly underwriting report to underwriting manager. </li>\n <li>Available to processors and correspondents for general Underwriter guideline interpretations and questions on specific loan files. </li>\n <li>Responds to post closing reviews and audits in a timely fashion. </li>\n <li>Performs related duties, as directed by Underwriter or Operations Manager.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Mortgage Underwriter Qualifications</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum three years of mortgage underwriting experience, with solid working knowledge of underwriting guidelines. </li>\n <li>Experience Underwriting private investor and private mortgage insurance guidelines. </li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal-communication and business-relationship skills. </li>\n <li>Detail oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills. </li>\n <li>Excellent analytical, written communication and verbal communication skills. </li>\n <li>Technologically proficient. </li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent professional experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At PRMG, we not only celebrate and support differences, we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our products, and our community.
