The MEP Systems Manager will manage the overall MEP preconstruction and procurement, budget, quality, safety, engineering, coordination, scheduling, installation, commissioning and close-out processes.</p><p><br></p><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Responsible for full project ownership including but not limited to:</li><li>Assist with defining the scope of work for MEP and evaluating bids</li><li>Create detailed CPM schedules for all MEP installation activities</li><li>Assist with MEP design development if assigned to a Design Build project</li><li>Coordinate and execute the RFI, Submittal, and Document Review and Control processes</li><li>Develop the MEP schedule of values, review monthly invoices, and manage MEP budget.</li><li>Manage the overall commissioning process</li><li>Create project specific MEP quality plans and verify their proper execution</li><li>Perform site inspections for MEP compliance with contract documents</li><li>Negotiate pricing and change orders with MEP subcontractors</li><li>Coordinate MEP field activities with the Superintendent and project team.</li><li>Provide MEP oversight relative to the BIM process</li><li>Be comfortable managing multiple projects at varying stages within a lifecycle.</li><li>Supervise, develop and mentor MEP Project Engineers, if applicable.</li><li>Foster and cultivate a team culture that aligns with Hourigan’s mission and values.</li><li>Participate in the Hourigan Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) by committing to safe work practices, raising concerns, attending and applying safety and health training, and eliminating hazards within your capability and control and the help of safety staff.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Qualifications and Experience:</p><ul><li>B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>8+ years of industry experience</li><li>LEED certifications is preferred.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.</li><li>Experience with MS Project, Textura, CMiC, and Bluebeam preferred.</li><li>Previous experience managing employees preferred.</li><li>Approach every responsibility and interaction with a high level of integrity, fairness, care, and concern</li><li>Lead forward by seeing challenges as a way to create new possibilities and solutions</li><li>Consistently deliver beyond expectations to provide exceptional results</li><li>Some periodic travel may be required.</li></ul><p>We offer our full-time employees a competitive benefits package including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, and life insurances, short-term and long-term disability, 401k employer match, and paid time off.</p><p>The summary of essential duties and responsibilities listed above is not intended to cover all possible job duties and is subject to change at our discretion.</p><p><strong>Hourigan is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
