    "description": "<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Job Purpose:</span></span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">The Driver's primary responsibility is the safe and efficient operation of a lowboy truck to load/unload, secure equipment to trailer, and transport equipment to and from various jobsites throughout Berks County.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential duties and responsibilities:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">2+ years of Lowboy experience hauling equipment</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Experience with permit loads &gt;80,000 pounds plus</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Loading and unloading construction equipment onto trailers and transporting it to various construction sites.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Performing maintenance on equipment and working with a crew as necessary.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Maintaining radio or telephone contact with base or supervisor to receive instructions or be dispatched to new locations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Keeping accurate records of materials and products transported, including logs and documentation.</span><br><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Actively promoting a safety-conscious culture and following all safety regulations and company policies.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Performing minor servicing and maintenance of equipment and reporting any problems to the supervisor.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Maintaining a clean and orderly condition of the truck and adhering to all company policies and procedures.</span><br><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">The Lowboy Driver must possess a valid Class A CDL driver’s license with a clean record and be able to pass</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"> drug, alcohol, and background screening as required by DOT. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Language skills to communicate clearly and effectively are also necessary.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Valid CDL – Class A Driver's license with a good driving record (License must be the State of residence)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Clean Driving Record</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Knowledge of DOT standards and requirements</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to work in a fast-paced environment</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip making sure truck is in safe conditions</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Maintains telephone contact with dispatch for instructions</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Maintains truck logs as required by the State, Federal, and Company policies and regulations</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to load heavy pieces of machinery into the trailer, crawl under the machines to secure binder chains between machine &amp; trailer.
