At Reliable, we pride ourselves on the fact that we provide limitless opportunities for growth, and we encourage it by rewarding our Team Members for their success in many ways. <strong data-gid=\"11969\">If you&rsquo;re ready to find your limitless &ndash; join us!</strong>&nbsp;</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Summary</strong></p><p>&nbsp;Residential Electricians are responsible for installs, maintenance, and repairs of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures for residential (single-family homes, apartments, and large-scale housing complexes) customers while providing excellent customer service. &nbsp;Their duties include communicating with clients to establish job details and related costs, reviewing electrical blueprints to identify wiring circuits and coordinating with team members to provide home comfort support.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>Essential Functions</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools</li><li>Diagnosing and repairing electrical issues</li><li>Installation of electrical systems, such as ceiling fans, lighting, GFCIs/GFIs (ground fault circuit interrupters), electric vehicle charging stations, and entertainment systems</li><li>Establish and foster client relationships through strong communication and customer service providing the ability to fully explain to customer what the issues are and their options for repair (when applicable)</li><li>Upgrade a home to be more energy efficient</li><li>New wiring and circuits</li><li>Travel to job sites in service area, and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer</li><li>Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem</li><li>Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes</li><li>Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system</li><li>Understand and apply blueprints and technical diagrams with the ability to layout, plan and install electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes</li><li>Maintain good working order of Company vehicle (i.e., safety checks, maintenance, etc.)</li><li>Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle in a clean and organized fashion</li><li>Understand Company pricing and generate appropriate customer invoices at job site</li><li>Participate in Company-provided training&nbsp;and comply with all code regulations</li><li>Adhere to all Company safety rules</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High School Diploma or GED required. This will be verified during the background process.</li><li>3- 5 years of proven experience as an Electrician (residential and/or light commercial)</li><li>Class I or Class II Georgia Electrical Contractor License a plus</li><li>Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints</li><li>Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines</li><li>Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability</li><li>Mechanical aptitude</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a strong desire to exceed customer expectations</li><li>Results driven in a high-energy environment</li><li>Attention to detail</li><li>Must be at least 22 years of age</li><li>Must pass MVR screening and maintain a good driving record</li><li>Must be able to follow directions and work independently</li><li>Ability to read, write and speak in English</li></ul><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Physical Activities &amp; Requirements</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Physical Strength: Walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, crawling, stooping, reaching (including overhead), climbing ladders/stairs and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis&nbsp;</li><li>Environment: Work in varying temperatures including non-climate-controlled areas occasionally with extreme temperatures</li><li>Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.</li><li>Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.</li><li>Schedule: Must be available to work nights and weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers</li><li>Visual Abilities: Must be able to correctly differentiate between colors&nbsp;</li><li>Other: Must be proficient in the use of smart phones, tablets and other mobile devices</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&ldquo;Please note that any offer of employment is conditional upon successful completion of a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record review (as applicable).</p><p>Reliable is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, celebrating diversity and creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
