    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>The Machinists Institute is a nonprofit apprenticeship and training organization that provides world class training to current and future aerospace, automotive and manufacturing workers. We are focused on providing living-wage career opportunities through education and training across the state. We are hiring a Part-Time Instructor for our Tukwila location.</p><p><strong>The Part-Time Instructor will:</strong></p><ul><li>Teach students in one or more courses in aerospace, manufacturing or related courses within your area of expertise.</li><li>Utilize online learning management systems as well as classroom technology for material delivery to students.</li><li>Work closely with the Program Director to define learning objectives and best delivery methods of materials.</li><li>Contextualize curriculum with industry expertise both in a classroom setting and in the training lab.</li><li>Track and record attendance and grading of each student, while also providing feedback to students for improvement.</li><li>Provide industry expertise to create lab projects in conjunction with the Program Director and related course materials.</li><li>Model productive work and study habits, communication and interpersonal skills to the students.</li><li>Conduct all lab time with safety at the forefront.</li></ul><p><strong>The Successful Candidates will have experience in one or more of the following:</strong></p><ul><li>Manufacturing principles and practices</li><li>Manual and/or CNC Machine set-up and operation and maintenance</li><li>Hydraulics, pneumatics and compressor operation and maintenance</li><li>Diesel generator basics</li><li>Electrical and electronic fundamentals&nbsp;</li><li>CAD and CAM software usage</li><li>Lubrication Systems</li><li>Power Trains, Drive Trains, Clutch and Transmission servicing</li><li>Blueprint reading and mechanical assembly</li><li>Hands on experience with heavy equipment repair and maintenance&nbsp;</li><li>PLC basics&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Equal Opportunity Employer</strong></p><p>The Machinists Institute is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
