Facility Attendant - Whittier Rehab Hospital - Bradford
Full Time, Day Shift and Evening Shift available
Every other Weekend and Holidays
Pay Rate : $16.00-$18.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL: Cleaning of assigned patient rooms and bathrooms according to Infection Control standards. Cleaning of nurses stations, public bathrooms, lounges, nourishment areas and storage closets, windows, etc. Cleaning of all patient care areas, hallways, lobby and office spaces. Must be able to perform varied cleaning projects that will be assigned by their immediate supervisor. Will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment within the department . Perform floor care duties such as dry mopping, wet mopping, buffing and vacuuming. Trash removal including use of trash compactor. Code Red Response Team member including retrieval of fire extinguisher . GENERAL PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: Adheres to the policies adopted by this hospital. Complies with all hospital safety and health regulations. Treats patients, their families, visitors, and other staff members with respect, courtesy and compassion. Demonstrates teamwork by possessing a considerate, friendly, and constructive attitude, and by the ability to work openly and honestly with other staff members with flexibility, support, and cooperation. Sets goals and demonstrates action toward self-improvement. Utilizes appropriate means of communication. Exhibits responsible work behaviors by demonstrating reliability, punctuality and dependability. Wears clothing appropriate for the work being performed. Performs assigned work tasks efficiently. Maintains workplace and work area cleanliness and orderliness. Refrains from behavior or conduct deemed offensive, or undesirable, or which is subject to disciplinary action. Reflects positive image to the community. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the impact of disability upon an individual’s, as well as families’ physical, emotional, social, economic and vocational status, taking into consideration age-related issues, and developmental levels over the life span (i.e. the adolescents’ need to develop their own identity, and cope with life changes; and the geriatrics’ need to maintain their integrity and independence, and adjust to the physiological aspects of aging), and meets the competency requirements for the population served (adolescents through geriatric), as applicable to the job description. NON-ESSENTIAL: May assist maintenance department in moving objects of furniture/equipment. May be requested to assist in hospital areas as assigned by supervisor.
