May assist in orienting and training employees.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong> Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the technician helps to prepare medications with sterile compounding, maintains the compounding area and equipment, and monitors inventory. Also facilitating the shipment or delivery of medications to patients and providers.</p>\n<h4> </h4>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Job Duties: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assists the pharmacist in maintaining federal, state and local laws, accrediting body standards, and Policies and Procedures (P&Ps). </li>\n <li>Performs IV admixtures sterility testing in accordance with policy, maintains appropriate documentation. </li>\n <li>Assists the pharmacists in the preparation and labeling of medications as allowed by law. </li>\n <li>Prepares sterile parenterals following appropriate aseptic technique and obtaining required checks by pharmacists and </li>\n <li>Appropriate assembly of drugs and supplies by matching codes and quantities from the compounding document, </li>\n <li>Correct labeling of product, </li>\n <li>Checking the final product for the absence of particulate matter and container integrity and </li>\n <li>Ensuring compounded product gets matched to the right delivery just prior to shipping. </li>\n <li>Conducts quality control and sterility testing. </li>\n <li>Assists the pharmacist in maintaining appropriate inventory levels. </li>\n <li>Orders, receives and stores medications and supplies. </li>\n <li>Performs physical inventories according to (P&Ps). </li>\n <li>Maintains pharmacy records including filing and documenting required information on dispensing records. </li>\n <li>Maintains and tracks DME and other equipment including cleaning and calibration activities. </li>\n <li>Cleans work areas routinely in accordance with policies and procedures. </li>\n <li>Communicates appropriately with all members of the healthcare team. </li>\n <li>Documents appropriately according to AristaCare P&Ps, all activities using required paperwork (logs). </li>\n <li>Participates in Performance Improvement and Quality Assurance activities education programs and department/branch meetings. </li>\n <li>Serves as Process Owner as assigned.</li>\n <li>Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Educational Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum: High School Diploma or GED</li>\n <li>Preferred: Pharmacy Technician or related certification</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Experience:  </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>One year of IV compounding experience and/or training’ or equivalent combination of education and experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Credential/Licensure Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Some states require a pharmacy technician certificate or license.
