    "description": "<p>The Family Medicine Patient Access Representative is responsible for professional and efficient operation of the admission/ registration process in one or more patient access areas. Performs a variety of patient access functions related to patient admission and discharge including: appointment scheduling, patient registration, insurance verification, and point of service collections. Demonstrates a basic understanding of the revenue cycle.</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>What You&#39;ll Do:</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Greets all patients in a courteous and timely manner.</li>\r\n\t<li>Answers multi-line telephone; takes clear, detailed, and legible messages and transfers calls to appropriate department when necessary. This includes concise documentation in the EHR system.</li>\r\n\t<li>Enters and/or updates patient information in computerized hospital information systems.</li>\r\n\t<li>Accurately creates tasks in EHR according to clinic protocols and works both Tasks lists and Work lists.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Who You Are:</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Excellent communicator</li>\r\n\t<li>Detail oriented</li>\r\n\t<li>Good interpersonal skills</li>\r\n\t<li>Strong customer service skills</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree preferred.</li>\r\n\t<li>Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.&nbsp;</li>\r\n\t<li>One year experience as a Receptionist preferred.</li>\r\n\t<li>Good telephone etiquette.</li>\r\n\t<li>Computer skills required: Competent with Microsoft Office and Outlook.</li>\r\n\t<li>Previous use of multi-line phones, fax and copy machine(s) preferred.&nbsp;</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Job Information:</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Full-time, day shifts including weekends.</li>\r\n\t<li>Starting wage $22.11&nbsp;to&nbsp;$26.80 based on qualifications.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p>The foregoing description is not intended and should not be construed to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills and efforts or work conditions associated with the job.
