Operating out of four state-of-the-art facilities located in Connecticut, Hanwha Aerospace USA offers growth and career development opportunities to enrich your talents.</p><p>We are looking for a Tool setter for their Newington, CT division. &nbsp;This person will be responsible for setting up cutting tools for IBR five axis milling machines to perform difficult machining operations for IBRs that are 15 to 54 inches. &nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Location: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</strong>Based out of Newington, CT</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Reports to: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</strong>Value Stream Manager</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Salary Grade: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities :&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p><em>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform.</em></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Reads process sheets, blueprints and sketches of part to determine machining to be done, dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Installs and preset tooling in tool posts, in sequence specified on process sheet.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Depresses buttons, toggles and starts machining operation.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Observes numerical displays on control panel and compares with data on process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Inspects first-run piece and spot-checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications, using micrometers and precision dial gauges.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Studies job packet and organizes materials for next run during automatically controlled cycles to shorten changeover time.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Documents the in-process inspection procedures&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Inspects and measures parts to maintain statistical process control charts.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>May set up and operate another machine tool during automatically controlled machining cycles.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>May machine non-metallic materials.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Ability to read and write English at a functional level.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Other tasks in operating other pieces of equipment within the IBR cell.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Performs other related duties or responsibilities as requested or required, whether or not specifically mentioned in this job description.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Must be a &ldquo;US Person&rdquo; as defined by US Government and able to work without restriction with ITAR related data.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional level.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Various other duties as assigned by Supervisor.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Participate in training as required.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>5-10% Domestic Travel required.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>This position is ITAR sensitive.</p><p><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><u><strong>Physical Demands / Work Capacity Evaluation</strong></u></p><p>The essential functions of this position may vary based on specific assignments, work locations, and operational needs.
