    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Nemours Children's Health is seeking a 3 PM - 11:30 PM Sterile Processing Supervisor&nbsp; for our location in Wilmington, DE.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>The Sterile Processing Department (SPD) Supervisor is responsible for support and supervision of daily operations within the guidelines set forth by industry standards and regulations to include, but not limited to, the:</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM)</li>\n <li>Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)</li>\n <li>Association of perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN)</li>\n <li>The Joint Commission (TJC)</li>\n <li>U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA)</li>\n <li>Center for Disease Control (CDC)</li>\n <li>Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)</li>\n <li>Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI)</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The SPD Supervisor provides departmental leadership, associate supervision, and supports workflow activities that occur in the sterile processing and decontamination areas.&nbsp; This position ensures that unit staffing is adequate to support all sterile processing and decontamination processes utilizing current techniques for preparation of reusable instrument trays and supplies for Perioperative Services, and other units within the facility that require re-processing or sterilization.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Additional duties include maintenance of all sterilization records in accordance with current regulatory standards, completion of weekly audits of sterilization and decontamination processes, and provision of monthly reports. The SPD supervisor will ensure adequate inventory of departmental supplies necessary for daily operations. This position provides assistance to the SPD Educator and Perioperative Clinical Nurse Educator in identifying departmental learning needs, ensuring annual training, and completing new associate orientation. The SPD Supervisor consistently demonstrates effective leadership and competence in all decontamination and sterilization processes.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>The SPD Supervisor is accountable for adherence to policies and procedures of Nemours to include NCH, Delaware, NCH, Surgery Center, Bryn Mawr, and NCH, Surgery Center, Deptford.</p>\n<p>This position is responsible for various departmental administrative duties that may require travel to all Delaware Valley SPD sites in order to assess and maintain standard operating practices and competencies.</p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)</li>\n <li>American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months of date of hire</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Two of three within 6 months of date of hire:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER)</li>\n <li>Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL).</li>\n <li>Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Three to five years of experience required</p>\n<p>#LI-MR1</p>",
