    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Merit Building Systems</span></span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><br></span></span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><br><br></span></span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">We are looking for a fitter-fabricator that will weld, shop fabricate, and/or assist in the installation of varying types of Structural and Miscellaneous Steel.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Selects equipment and plans layouts, assembly, and welding applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Layout, position, aligns, cut, assemble, and fit metal components together in various body positions and in various places.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas arc welding equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Weld metal materials to piping systems equipment using the appropriate welding procedure for the various equipment and metal types involved.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Identify all equipment for job and process.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Identify all safety risks and requirements.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Other duties as assigned<br><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications<br></span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must be able to Stick/Mig weld on varies types of equipment and material.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must successfully pass a weld test.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must have 2+ years of industrial welding experience.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must have all required knowledge, skills, and abilities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must be able to meet all physical requirements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must have all the tools</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Other Duties as assigned.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Required Qualifications</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must be able to read blueprints and other engineering drawings in order to perform efficiently at work.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must be able to read and interrupt technical manuals as applicable.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must have 2+ years of experience welding experience on industrial size and grade equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must have the ability to stick weld in 2g, 3g, and 4g conditions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must be proficient in welding with varies rods including but not limited to 6010 &amp; 7018.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must have a thorough knowledge of various metals characteristic and qualities including the correct welding processes required and the effects of welding on the material.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must successfully pass a weld test.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must be able and willing to assist with other activities while not actively welding.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must have reliable transportation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must be able to work at heights as required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must meet all physical demands (see section below).</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Physical Requirements</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Will talk and hear to communicate. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls and tools. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Merit Building Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
