    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Purpose of Your Position</strong></p>\n<p>Provide physical therapy services to preschool and school age children for a minimum of 45 weekly sessions and conduct physical therapy assessments and evaluations.</p>\n<p><strong>Job Functions</strong></p>\n<p>Every effort has been made to identify the essential functions of this position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or is an essential function of the position.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Understand and promotes Elizabeth Seton Children’s Mission and Core Values of Compassion, Adaptability, Respect, and Excellence (CARE) by bringing these values to life in the organization.</li>\n <li>Provide mandated services to assigned children on caseload in compliance with IEP documents.</li>\n <li>Participate in meetings and consultations with education staff and the multidisciplinary team concerning the needs of each child as related to his/her mandated services and progress updates.</li>\n <li>Work effectively with parents, teaching staff and other professionals directly involved in the care and treatment of the child to develop and monitor IEP services.</li>\n <li>Use accurate assessment skills to perform functional evaluations with reports reflecting current knowledge and evidence-based practices and communicate results effectively in both written and verbal formats.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate record keeping and IEP goal tracking documentation as required by SED and Elizabeth Seton Children’s policies for quality assurance and accountability purposes.</li>\n <li>Responsible for providing input into child’s assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and orthotic appliance needs.</li>\n <li>Serves as clinical instructor and assists with coordination of affiliation programs as needed for physical therapy students.</li>\n <li>Actively participate in the creation and implementation of an individual and School wide Professional Development Plan that inspires personal growth and informs clinical practices.</li>\n <li>Carry out standards for customer service; quality improvement; professional development; environmental, safety and infection control practices; confidentiality, corporate compliance and all other Elizabeth Seton policies and procedures; attend all mandatory in-services to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices in working with students and their families.</li>\n <li>Perform other tasks to support the operations of the school as assigned by School Administration.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelors Degree; Masters Degree or Doctorate degree</li>\n <li>NYS PT License</li>\n <li>NYS PT Certification</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>New Graduates with Pediatric experience considered</li>\n <li>Minimum of One (1) year Pediatric PT experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Employee Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong communication skills (verbal and written); good problem-solving skills; strong organizational skills; ability to relate to families and work collaboratively with other agency representatives</li>\n <li>Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently</li>\n <li>Must meet or exceed all health standards and requirements for the position as established by NYDOH and all other regulatory agencies</li>\n <li>Must meet the general health requirements set fourth by the policies of Elizabeth Seton Children’s which includes a medical and physical examination</li>\n <li>Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of thirty-five (35) pounds</li>\n <li>Perform tasks that may involve exposure to the children’s blood/body fluids</li>\n <li>Must be able to assist in the evacuation of children if necessary</li>\n <li>Must hold valid driver’s license.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Will work in a well-lighted and ventilated area</li>\n <li>Will be subject to frequent interruptions</li>\n <li>May be asked to work beyond normal working hours, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Salary Range:</strong></p>\n<p>$75,236.22/Yr.
