    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>The registered nurse (RN) is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. The RN will function within the Mayo Nursing Care Model, which includes accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. The ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice provide a basis for the practice of the RN. The RN provides leadership through activities such as preceptor role, informal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts. The RN delegates patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and adequacy of resources. The RN possesses excellent communication skills; is skillful in mentoring and teaching; and may participate on committees or projects.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Responsibilities for this role include the following:</p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;• Conduct thorough patient assessments pre and post Cardiology procedures, ensuring comprehensive care and monitoring.<br>\n &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;• Administer medications and treatments to include but not limited to arterial and venous sheath pulls as prescribed/ordered by physicians.<br>\n &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.<br>\n &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;• Provide education to patients and their families regarding cardiac procedures and post-procedural care.<br>\n &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognizing and responding promptly to changes.<br>\n &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;• Assist in TEE/cardioversion and Tilt table resting procedures, providing nursing support and maintaining a sterile environment.<br>\n &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe patient care environment.<br>\n &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.<br><br><br>\n This role is eligible for TN sponsorship.
