Kelvion &ndash; Together, We Shape the Future</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>Grind and smooth surfaces of product by performing the following duties.</p><p><strong>What you will be responsible for:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ability to grind, chip weld splatter, high spot, burr, and rust from surfaces of structure components.</li><li>Ability to position work pieces manually or by using overhead or jib cranes. &nbsp;Examines and feels surface of work piece for defects.</li><li>Selects grade of abrasive wheel, disk and die grinder bits according to specification, knowledge of abrasives, and condition of metal, and attaches to grinder.</li><li>Ability to pull trigger to start power tool and move it over surface of work piece to remove scratches, laminated metal, excess weld material, and burrs.</li><li>Ability to load trucks.</li><li>Ability to chip or grind out pits or cracks; replace worn abrasive disks, wheels, and die grinder bits.</li><li>Must be able to operate a mig welder and fuse to piece of metal.</li><li>Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on-site, ability to work overtime.</li><li>Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.</li><li>Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.</li></ul><p><strong><u>COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS (knowledge, skills, and abilities)</u></strong></p><ul><li>Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10&#39;s and 100&#39;s. &nbsp;Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.</li></ul><p><strong><u>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)</u></strong></p><ul><li>Prior experience preferred, but not required</li></ul><p><strong>What we offer YOU:</strong></p><p>At Kelvion, we take your well-being seriously.
