    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform routine and emergency maintenance on machinery and equipment in a manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying potential issues, resolving mechanical problems, and ensuring all equipment is operating efficiently to minimize downtime.</p>\n<p><strong>This position is supporting our Elgen facility in Closter, NJ. The opening is on 3rd shift Monday to Friday 10pm to 6:30am.</strong></p>\n<p>Pay: $30 - $38 per hour +$2 for shift differential</p>\n<p><strong>Duties and responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards and procedures while performing maintenance tasks. Ensure a clean and organized workspace.</li>\n <li>Routine Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as lubricating, cleaning, and adjusting machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.</li>\n <li>Troubleshooting &amp; Repairs: Quickly diagnose and repair mechanical issues with machines, equipment, and systems in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.</li>\n <li>Equipment Installation: Assist with the installation of new equipment and machinery, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.</li>\n <li>Parts &amp; Inventory Management: Maintain and manage inventory of mechanical parts and tools, ensuring availability for repairs and replacements.</li>\n <li>Documentation &amp; Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, and provide regular reports to management.</li>\n <li>Collaboration: Work with production and engineering teams to identify areas for improvement in machinery and processes, providing feedback for continuous improvement.</li>\n <li>Emergency Support: Respond to emergency maintenance calls during off-hours as needed to resolve critical issues</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar maintenance role.</li>\n <li>Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on industrial machinery.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical components.</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. <strong>Familiarity with preventive maintenance strategies and machinery repair best practices.</strong></li>\n <li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.</li>\n <li>Good communication skills and ability to document maintenance activities accurately</li>\n <li>Basic computer skills for maintenance scheduling and record-keeping.</li>\n <li>Vocational or technical training in maintenance or related field.</li>\n <li>Certification in welding, hydraulics, or electrical systems.</li>\n <li>Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and control systems.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols in a manufacturing environment.</li>\n <li>For this position, it is required to be able to lift to 50 pounds</li>\n</ul>\n<p>We are an industry leader in HVAC and sheet metal manufacturers, serving HVAC contractors, fabricators, and resellers.
