You will protect and promote the interests of both Gilbane and the client in all matters as well as demonstrating the personal characteristics of a developing leader. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides Subject Matter Expert (SME) level technical and commercial expertise and supports projects and operations in the direct procurement process</li>\n <li>Develops and maintains strong relationships with project teams and related stakeholders</li>\n <li>Implements the comprehensive plan for both technical and commercial aspects of the projects</li>\n <li>Drafts project specific Request for Quotations (RFQ) of Engineered to Order packages for equipment suppliers and/or manufacturers</li>\n <li>Ensures the prequalification of bidders</li>\n <li>Leads technical bid evaluations</li>\n <li>Prepares purchase recommendations and decisions up to a predetermined threshold(s)</li>\n <li>Drafts purchase order (PO) content prior to release to purchasing department; reviews PO prior to release to the supplier</li>\n <li>Manages the order life cycle from submittal approval process to shipment or assignment</li>\n <li>Monitors, reports, and acts proactively to ensure timely delivery of equipment; engages vendors in developing alternative options for management approval to address any delivery slippage</li>\n <li>Coordinates delivery activities and verifies major package receipts if purchase order is not assigned to a subcontractor</li>\n <li>Ensures that tasks/duties that are not included in the equipment purchase are assigned to the appropriate subcontractors or to the Gilbane field team</li>\n <li>Provides critical SME input to quarterly company market publication(s)</li>\n <li>Collaborates on the development and refinement of technical Supply Chain practices and tools for assigned product categories</li>\n <li>Executes objectives, to meet or exceed KPIs, while leading the team to reach productivity, quality, service, and safety goals</li>\n <li>Manages the Trade Partner risk mitigation strategy and execution including coordination with Operations teams, Risk Management, and Leadership team</li>\n <li>Coaches and mentors less experienced team members</li>\n <li>Supports a positive and inclusive work environment</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field</li>\n <li>7-10 years of experience in engineering, subcontracting, sourcing, or supply chain</li>\n <li>Or equivalent combination of education and experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of subcontract documents, drawings, and specifications</li>\n <li>Knowledge and understanding of contractual terms, conditions, and risk mitigation</li>\n <li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiating skills</li>\n <li>Advanced oral communication, written communication, and people skills</li>\n <li>Ability to execute and collaborate on multiple varied projects at one time, with frequent changing priorities</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.</p>\n<p>For (Insert State) this ranges from $110,000 - 150,000 plus benefits and retirement program.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Gilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
