The role of<span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span> </span>IT Systems and Network Engineer </span>entails being responsible for, the installation, configuration and commissioning of data centres, complex network servers, PC and other systems such as CCTV and building monitoring systems that make up our maritime surveillance systems. Along with their ongoing maintenance and issue trouble shooting and resolution.  </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities - IT Systems and Network Engineer </span> (not exhaustive):</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Configuration and deployment of networked servers, storage, network (hardware and related software packages) and other IT system support infrastructure</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Check and validate installations, and provide reports</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Configuration and trouble shooting of different types of connectivity systems</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Monitor system performance, undertake trouble shooting and resolution and implementation of software patches and hardware replacements</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Support and train customer internal IT departments and technicians to enable them to take operational ownership and responsibility of the systems we have supplied – day to day maintenance, issue identification and resolution</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Maintain good document trails of system changes and updates</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Requirements</span> <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">- IT Systems and Network Engineer</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL</span><span> </span>- A minimum of 5 years network IT system setup and management experience in either commercial or industrial environments</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL</span><span> </span>- Professional English language - spoken and written - this will be assessed</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL<span> </span></span>- Deep understanding of IT networks and server system configurations and set up – in particular  Windows/Linux servers and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) advantageous</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Strong understanding of IT security and data protection best practices</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Excellent teamwork and communication abilities</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>",
