This job follows clear work steps to improve safety, reduce mistakes, cut delays, and improve quality. The role includes physical work, equipment use, inspections, and teamwork to keep cargo moving the right way every time.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Cargo Handling</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Load and unload cargo from ships, trucks, and railcars by following clear work steps.</li>\n<li>Secure cargo with ropes, slings, and other tools to prevent damage and movement.</li>\n<li>Place and store cargo in the right location to improve flow, save space, and keep loads balanced.</li>\n<li>Watch for waste, delays, rework, or unsafe conditions and report them.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Equipment Operation</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operate cranes, forklifts, and other equipment safely and correctly.</li>\n<li>Check equipment before use and report problems quickly to reduce downtime and defects.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Inspection and Safety Compliance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inspect cargo for damage, wrong counts, or other problems and report them right away.</li>\n<li>Follow safety rules and standard procedures every time to reduce risk and prevent errors.</li>\n<li>Wear always required personal protective equipment (PPE).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Team Collaboration</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with supervisors, operators, and team members to keep work safe, steady, and on time.</li>\n<li>Share clear information to avoid mistakes and support smooth handoffs.</li>\n<li>Suggest simple ways to improve quality, safety, and speed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Documentation</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Record cargo counts, types, and condition clearly and correctly.</li>\n<li>Complete shipping and receiving paperwork on time and without errors.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Skills and Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li> <span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Physical strength and stamina to lift, move, and handle cargo safely.</span></li>\n<li>Attention to detail to follow work steps, check quality, and reduce errors.</li>\n<li>Ability to follow standard procedures and do the job the same safe way each time.</li>\n<li>Teamwork and clear communication in a fast-paced work environment.</li>\n<li>Willingness to report problems and suggest better ways to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li> <span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Experience in port, shipping, warehouse, or logistics work.</span></li>\n<li>Certification to operate equipment such as forklifts or cranes.</li>\n<li>Basic knowledge of cargo records, counts, and inventory control.</li>\n<li>Ability to speak English and Spanish.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Working Conditions:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work is done outdoors in changing weather conditions.</li>\n<li>The job is physically demanding and may include heavy lifting and moving large materials.</li>\n<li>Shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays based on shipping schedules.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Employee Job Description Acknowledgement:</span></span></p>\n<p>I acknowledge that I have received and reviewed the job description for my position as<span> </span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Stevedore</span></span><span> </span>with Antillean Marine Shipping Corp.
