From urban mixed-use developments to institutional campuses, you’ll shape projects that leave a lasting mark on the Atlanta region and beyond.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Our clients include commercial and residential developers, industrial leaders, hospitality brands, higher ed and healthcare institutions, municipalities, state agencies, and private investors throughout the eastern U.S.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead and deliver site/civil engineering design and permitting for a variety of land development projects.</li>\n <li>Serve as Engineer of Record on complex, high-profile projects.</li>\n <li>Guide teams in developing site layouts, grading, stormwater management, and utility systems.</li>\n <li>Establish, build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted partner from concept through completion.</li>\n <li>Mentor and develop junior staff to ensure strong technical fundamentals and leadership growth.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with survey, environmental, transportation, planning, and legal teams to achieve successful project outcomes.</li>\n <li>Ensure quality control, manage budgets, and track milestones for multiple projects.</li>\n <li>Drive business development, identifying opportunities, leading proposals, and expanding VHB’s presence in the Atlanta market.</li>\n <li>Partners with Atlanta Office Leadership and Marketing Director to lead strategic pursuit decisions</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Expertise in site design, layout, grading, hardscape, drainage, and planting</li>\n <li>Knowledge of land development construction, codes, and regulations</li>\n <li>Familiarity with construction materials, detailing, and specifications</li>\n <li>Experience with sustainable design (LEED, Envision, low-impact design)</li>\n <li>Strong design, problem-solving, and analytical skills</li>\n <li>Excellent communication and presentation abilities</li>\n <li>Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities</li>\n <li>Proven success delivering institutional or real estate development projects</li>\n <li>Strong business acumen and collaborative leadership skills</li>\n <li>Existing relationships and contacts at the decision-making level</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BS in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred) and Professional Engineer (PE) license.</li>\n <li>8–11+ years of civil engineering experience in institutional and/or real estate land development.</li>\n <li>Proven experience managing projects on time and on budget.</li>\n <li>Strong technical expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydroflow, Microsoft Project, and MS Office.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of LEED, Envision, and sustainable design practices.</li>\n <li>Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.</li>\n <li>An established network of Atlanta-area contacts and a track record of generating new business opportunities.</li>\n <li>Candidates shall provide a list of key project experiences detailing their specific roles and responsibilities on each project</li>\n <li>Examples of work product may be requested<strong> </strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Building what’s next, together.</strong></p>\n<p>Our people make the difference.
