Responsible for telephone screens/intakes; admissions; nursing health assessments; administration of TB tests, administration of medication as prescribed by the physician or in keeping with physician’s standing orders; and reading/recording; contact with Physician as needed; attending staff meetings, scheduling admission appointments, and completion of nursing progress notes.<span>&nbsp; </span>Routine cleaning of facility; laundry and simple meals. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Palatino Linotype&quot;,serif;\"><strong><u>Requirements:</u>&nbsp;</strong>Possession of a certificate from an accredited practical nursing education program (one year college-level program) required.&nbsp;Possession of a State of Michigan credential required. A minimum one-year experience in Nursing with the mentally ill and/or developmentally disabled population required.&nbsp;Must demonstrate competent computer skills in database programs and word processing.&nbsp; Access to reliable means of transportation for job related use required.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Palatino Linotype&quot;,serif;\"><strong><u>Conditional Employment Requirements:</u></strong>&nbsp;Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of:&nbsp;Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, educational background check, and verification of an acceptable work history.
