    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong><u>SUMMARY OF POSITION</u></strong><u>:</u></p><p>The Picker/Packer accurately picks, packs, wraps, stacks, and moves products to fill customer orders as standard procedure.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Pick and pack units to specifications, aligned with respected Standard Operating Procedures.&nbsp;</li><li>Use and operate RF scanners.&nbsp;</li><li>Locate and pick products for orders according to order detail.</li><li>Verify that each order is picked completely before placing on conveyor or other loading area.</li><li>Practice good housekeeping by removing empty boxes from shelves, moving damaged product to designated areas, organizing warehouse racks &amp; sweeping designated areas.</li><li>Pack, palletize &amp; shrink wrap products as required prior to loading on trucks.</li><li>Properly stage and assist loaders to accurately and efficiently combine and load orders.</li><li>Ensure that paperwork is completed timely, thoroughly and accurately.</li><li>May assist with training new associates in basic job functions.</li><li>Must follow directions given by supervisors, leads and key associates.&nbsp;</li><li>Use basic math.</li><li>Maintain safety standards in compliance with company policy and report issues to supervisor.&nbsp;</li><li>Always be aware of surroundings and heavy equipment nearby.</li><li>Other duties assigned including but not limited to: temporary reassignment of role, light dusting/sanitation as needed, etc.</li></ul><p><strong><u>POSITION SPECIFICS:</u></strong></p><ul><li>This is a full-time position&nbsp;</li><li>Shift start/stop times may vary depending on department and business needs. Initial schedules are not guaranteed to be permanent. Any changes will be communicated with at least two weeks&rsquo; notice. Typical shifts are 8 hours but may require overtime as needed.</li></ul><p><strong><u>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</u></strong></p><p>This position does not have any leadership requirements and/or responsibilities.</p><p><strong><u>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 3- 6 months&rsquo; order picking experience with RF scanner.</li><li>Must be able to read a limited number of two- and three- syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. &nbsp;Ability to write and speak simple sentences in English. &nbsp;</li><li>Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10&rsquo;s and 100&rsquo;s. &nbsp;Ability to perform these operations using American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.</li><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. &nbsp;Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.</li><li>Excellent attendance and punctuality are expected</li></ul><p><strong><u>PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p>Candidate must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with ability to: stand for long periods of time; ability to become certified (if operating equipment); constantly move about the warehouse; pulling/pushing a cart containing cartons; bend/stoop/kneel/crouch to handle product; regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds; the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations; and the ability to observe details at close range (within a few feed of the observer).
