This role is ideal for candidates with recent, hands-on oncology data abstraction experience who can independently review clinical documentation, apply registry specifications, and meet assigned deadlines with a high level of accuracy.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">This is not a general data entry position. Candidates must have direct healthcare quality reporting, clinical chart review, or data abstraction experience specific to Oncology.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Position Details: </span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">ADN hires both contractors and full-time employees for Data Abstraction roles. Contractors must be available for a minimum of 15 hours per week.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Reviews patient medical records and abstracts data for oncology registries.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Applies registry specifications, definitions, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and abstraction guidelines accurately and consistently.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Maintains compliance with NCRA and other applicable guidelines to ensure the integrity and quality of the registry data.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Collaborates with oncology program leadership, performance improvement teams, and clinical staff to clarify documentation and support oncology program goals.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Enters accurate and complete data into assigned registry platforms, EHRs, vendor tools, or other data collection systems.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Maintains a high level of abstraction accuracy, completeness, and attention to detail.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Meets assigned productivity expectations, weekly progress goals, and internal and client deadlines.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Participates in quality assurance activities, including feedback, correction, validation, and IRR reviews.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Communicates professionally with account leads, team members, and client contacts when clarification is needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Maintains strict confidentiality and complies with ADN, client, HIPAA, and data security requirements.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Required:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Current Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification by the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Minimum 1 year of oncology registry experience required, with 2 or more years preferred.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Advanced understanding of oncology registry processes, coding, registry rules, and manuals, including SEER, AJCC, and other applicable standards.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Strong attention to detail, organization, documentation, and follow-through.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Comfort working in multiple EHRs, registry platforms, vendor tools, and data collection systems as assigned.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Contractors must have high-speed secure internet, a PC or laptop, and at least two monitors.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Preferred:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Experience using oncology registry applications, reports, and other related data collection resources.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Experience with IRR, QA review, audit validation, and/or abstraction accuracy review.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Screening &amp; Onboarding: </span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\"><br></span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Qualified candidates will complete an initial phone screen to evaluate qualifications and proof of certification.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">ADN does not provide basic Oncology abstraction training, so candidates should already have the experience needed for the role.
