This role leads quality assurance initiatives, conducts internal and external audits, drives continuous improvement efforts, and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure product and process quality throughout manufacturing operations. The Senior Quality Engineer plays a key role in identifying process improvements, analyzing quality data, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to support operational excellence.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee effective implementation of the QMS, including any business accreditations</li><li>Maintain the Quality Manuals and Quality Procedures and ensure contents are appropriate for business, operation, and customer requirements</li><li>Conduct the final inspection for all outgoing shipments</li><li>Organize and manage internal and external audits and corrective action reporting.</li><li>Provide guidance and support to internal auditors during audit preparation and execution</li><li>Create daily safety and visual inspection reports to send to HQ</li><li>Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, or system</li><li>Maintain the Standard Operating Procedure content and coordinate the issuing of these documents</li><li>Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the QMS to improve process performance and compliance.</li><li>Review, collect, and analyze data on quality procedures to continuously improve plant targets using the 4M process</li><li>Maintain and repair laboratory machines as necessary and track spare parts</li><li>Train new line operators and engineers on quality issues</li><li>Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis</li><li>Provide quality information to customer service team</li><li>Communicate with regulatory agencies regarding compliance documentation or validation results</li><li>Ensure organizational compliance with applicable quality standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9000</li><li>Recommend resolution of identified deviations from established product or process standards</li><li>Create, populate, or maintain databases for tracking validation activities, test results, or validated systems</li><li>Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities for quality issues.</li><li>Participate in internal or external training programs to maintain knowledge of validation principles, industry trends, or novel technologies</li><li>Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li>Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain</li><li>Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container</li></ul></li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree required, MBA or MS Preferred or equivalent, relevant experience</li><li>Greenbelt in Lean Six Sigma (LSS) required</li></ul><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Laboratory or research experience&nbsp;preferred</li><li>7+ years of experience Quality Engineering role or Reproducible experiment work in automotive manufacturing environment.</li><li>Background with GD&amp;T&nbsp;preferred</li><li>Working knowledge of measurement and calibration</li><li>Understanding of manufacturing processes</li><li>Basic knowledge of electrical engineering</li><li>Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)</li><li>Knowledge of quality systems and Lean manufacturing</li><li>Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9000<strong>&nbsp;</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Comfortable working independently and with others</li><li>Results-oriented and perseverant</li><li>Critical thinking and problem-solving skills</li><li>Project and process management skills</li><li>Strong attention to detail</li><li>Technically proficient and motivated to continuously improve</li><li>MS Office Suite and Minitab</li><li>Flexible schedule to address issues at work as they arise and to attend meetings based on overseas schedules&nbsp;</li></ul><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Benefits Overview</strong></p><ul><li>100% employer paid Medical, Dental, and Vision premium for you and your family</li><li>100% employer-paid disability and life insurance</li><li>Employer supported childcare/babysitting programs</li><li>Generous Paid Time Off / Holidays</li><li>Opportunity to grow in diverse work environment with a global company</li><li>401k Retirement savings and planning with generous company match</li></ul><p><br></p><p>&nbsp;<strong>LG is an Equal Opportunity employer that values the diversity of its workforce.
