    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p>Job Description</p><p><span id=\"isPasted\">EHS Specialist- Night Shift</span></p><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\">Primary Duties and Responsibilities&nbsp;</p>Environmental/Health/Safety Trainer<ol><li>Ability to conduct onboard training for all new employees.</li><li>Conducts refresher training for all employees per yearly training schedule.</li><li>Conducts additional clarification training for all employees as required due to incidents/violations.</li><li>Assist with developing or modifying training programs to address existing and new EHS issues.</li></ol>Environmental/Health/Safety Employee Outreach<ol><li>Promote and utilize the incident reporting program throughout facility, including being the point-source for collection and coordination of corrective actions.</li><li>Attend individual department meetings as representative for EHS.</li><li>Regularly surveys/monitors production floor for employee EHS concerns and addresses with supervision and management.</li><li>Coordinates emergency evacuation drills (fire, adverse weather, etc.), monitors for effectiveness and recommends corrections/improvements.</li><li>Provide input for weekly safety talks and bulletins for individual departmental start-up meetings.</li><li>Develops and posts monthly employee EHS information throughout the facility.</li><li>Develops and posts employee safety alerts as required throughout the facility.</li><li>Assist with the employee safety committee, including membership, training, and monthly meetings.</li><li>Assist with the employee first responder program, including membership and training.</li><li>Compliance Inspection Programs</li><li>Perform safety inspections for all departments and communicate the findings in a timely manner.</li><li>Perform environmental inspections for stormwater and SPCC compliance and communicate the findings in a timely manner.</li><li>Perform hazardous waste compliance inspections for all accumulation areas and communicate the findings in a timely manner.</li><li>Perform hazardous materials inspections and communicate the findings in a timely manner.</li><li>Perform fire prevention and control inspections and communicate the findings in a timely manner.</li></ol>Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Control and Monitoring<ol><li>Responsible for PPE distribution and availability to all employees</li><li>Responsible for proper PPE determination based on job hazard analysis.</li><li>Assists with vendor management of safety shoe store and employee provision based on company policy for time and type.</li><li>Oversee PPE stocking control and product evaluation including addressing any PPE quality issues.</li></ol>Cost Savings Generation and Reporting<ol><li>Examines potential in projects for cost savings generation.</li><li>Gathers data to clarify/justify cost savings reporting.</li><li>Reports cost savings as monthly KPI for EHS Department</li></ol>Incident Response<ol><li>Trained for EHS incident response, including but not limited to Bloodborne Pathogen decontamination, non-hazardous spill response, and injury triage. </li><li>Primary EHS employee relations communication source for incident information</li><li>Participates in incident investigations/reviews to determine root-cause analysis.</li><li>Communicates corrective actions for incidents to all departments/employees.</li></ol><p>EHS Project Work</p><ol><li>Coordinates proper non-hazardous waste disposal methods with employees, sets up collection areas as required.</li></ol><ol start=\"2\"><li>Coordinates recycling programs with all employees, including but not limited to oil pads, batteries, and production waste streams.</li><li>Coordinates additional project work and issues as directed under the guidance of the EHS Supervisor and the EHS Manager.</li></ol>Education/Experience<ol><li>Associate degree or higher requested<ol><li>Equivalent work experience is acceptable as determined by the EHS Manager</li><li>Background in science-related field, esp. EHS, preferred.</li></ol></li><li>Additional certifications are also preferred.<ol><li>ASP</li><li>OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification</li><li>OSHA Trainer certification</li><li>Teaching/Supervision</li></ol></li></ol><p>Willingness to pursue continuing education is preferred, either formal or self-taught</p><ol><li>Competency in standard MSOffice applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, is required<br>Work Structure</li><li>Reports to EHS Supervisor.</li><li>Standard hours will vary. &nbsp;</li><li>Work hours will vary with some OT required.</li><li>Requirement to schedule time spent on all shifts and weekends to drive outreach to all employees</li><li>Work organization is mainly self-determined with oversight as deemed necessary by the EHS Manager; must be a self-starter who can drive results without prompting.</li></ol></div>\n",
