Acting as the operational link between corporate sustainability strategy and site-level execution, this role drives measurable improvements in energy performance, supports cost-efficient energy planning, and ensures regulatory compliance while partnering closely with operations, engineering, finance, and customer-facing teams.</p><hr><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong>What you’ll do</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Oversee and manage all aspects of subregional energy and water utility usage across data center operations.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Lead the implementation of energy and water efficiency strategies, including initiatives to improve PUE and WUE.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Track, forecast, and analyze energy usage, capacity, efficiency metrics, and costs from a post‑sales perspective, including scenario and sensitivity analyses.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Monitor energy consumption data and implement global initiatives to reduce energy use and improve efficiency.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Ensure accurate collection, validation, approval, and reporting of energy, capacity, metering, and PUE data in line with global standards.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Partner with Site Operations, Engineering, DE&amp;C, Solution Engineering, Finance, and Customer Success to support energy planning, billing, and customer usage insights.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Serve as the primary operational point of contact for energy and infrastructure metering, including monitoring customer overconsumption and escalation where required.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Provide regular and on‑demand energy reporting, including monthly and annual summaries, and approve all energy and PUE reports.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Support compliance with subregional and local energy regulations, ISO 50001 requirements, audits, and internal energy reviews.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Lead energy efficiency projects through completion, manage external consultants where applicable, and stay current on industry best practices and emerging technologies.</li></ul><hr><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">What you’ll need</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">7+ years of experience in mission‑critical mechanical and electrical environments, preferably within data centres, IT, or telecoms.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering discipline, with several years’ experience in energy management, sustainability, or environmental engineering.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including UPS systems, generators, cooling systems, and energy metering concepts.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Experience with energy monitoring, management, and reporting platforms, and the ability to interpret energy data accurately.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Proven analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable operational and financial insights.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Ability to read and work with electrical and mechanical diagrams.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Demonstrated project management skills, including leading cross‑functional initiatives and managing change.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Strong communication skills, including the ability to present technical and analytical information to diverse audiences.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Leadership and people‑management capabilities, including coaching, development, and team collaboration (where applicable).</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">A proactive, detail‑oriented, and results‑driven mindset with strong decision‑making and stakeholder‑management skills.</li></ul><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.5in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong>A bit about us</strong></p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;\">Digital Realty brings companies and data together by delivering the full spectrum of data center, colocation and interconnection solutions.
