Known for tackling complex structural challenges with smart, cost-effective solutions, the team partners closely with clients to extend service life, improve safety, and minimize disruptions to the traveling public. With experience supporting municipal and state agencies, they combine strong engineering fundamentals with real-world constructability and a clear understanding of regulatory requirements—delivering bridges that are resilient, reliable, and built to serve communities for decades.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities, Requirements, and Total Rewards</h2>\n<p><strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong></p>\n<p>As a valuable part of our <strong>Transportation team</strong>, a <strong>Project Manager 2 </strong>will manage the planning, design, and delivery of bridge projects from concept through construction, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, and quality while coordinating with clients and internal teams. You’ll also provide technical guidance and mentorship to staff, contribute to proposals and business development efforts, and help advance Tighe & Bond’s bridge practice. Some of your responsibilities will include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Leading the <strong>planning, design, and delivery</strong> of bridge replacement, rehabilitation, and preservation projects in accordance with <strong>NHDOT standards</strong> and <strong>AASHTO LRFD</strong></li>\n <li>Managing <strong>project scope, schedule, budget, QA/QC processes, and multidisciplinary coordination</strong></li>\n <li>Serving as the <strong>primary point of contact</strong> for NHDOT, municipal clients, and other project stakeholders</li>\n <li>Overseeing and reviewing <strong>structural calculations, design reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates</strong></li>\n <li>Guiding project teams in <strong>load rating, NBIS inspections, and risk mitigation strategies</strong></li>\n <li>Coordinating closely with <strong>roadway, geotechnical, and hydraulics</strong> disciplines.</li>\n <li>Ensuring compliance with <strong>New Hampshire environmental and permitting requirements</strong></li>\n <li>Supporting <strong>proposal development, fee estimates, and client interviews</strong></li>\n <li>Mentoring junior engineers and support professional development within the bridge structural group</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What You’ll Need </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering</p></li>\n <li><p>Professional Engineer (PE) license – required (New Hampshire licensure or ability to obtain through reciprocity)</p></li>\n <li><p>13+ years of experience in bridge design, project delivery, and client coordination</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong working knowledge of NHDOT bridge and structural standards, AASHTO LRFD and applicable permitting and regulatory requirements</p></li>\n <li><p>Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., MIDAS, STAAD, LARSA) and CAD tools (e.g., MicroStation)</p></li>\n <li><p>Demonstrated ability to lead teams, communicate clearly with clients, and manage multiple projects</p><p> </p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Master’s degree in Structural Engineering</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience with municipal bridge programs, small-span structures, and emergency repairs</p></li>\n <li><p>NBI inspection experience and/or familiarity with FHWA compliance procedures</p></li>\n <li><p>Active involvement in professional organizations such as ASCE, BSCES, or SEI.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Your Financial and Wellness Benefits</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Compensation is based on skills and experience as reflected in the pay range below</li>\n <li>Annual Bonus, Profit Sharing, and Employee Stock Ownership Plan</li>\n <li>Best in Class Medical Insurance</li>\n <li>Dental & Vision Insurance</li>\n <li>Wellness Rewards and Reimbursements</li>\n <li>Tuition Reimbursement and Qualified Student Loan Paydown Contributions</li>\n <li>Reimbursements for Licensure/ Certification Preparation and Fees</li>\n <li>Summer Fridays Flextime and Hybrid Work Environment</li>\n <li>Pet Insurance and Adoption Assistance </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>More Information about Tighe & Bond</h2>\n<p><strong>Ways to Grow Your Career</strong>We provide a structured career path with opportunities for professional development through tuition reimbursement, internal training, conference attendance, and professional memberships.
